I actually don't know what he means, like how can he be more effective than someone whose scored 100 goals in the last 3 years

Neither. Sterling is the more effective player. Kane is a terrific striker but he can be marked out of the game. But neither have the mentality to carry a £100m price tag.

Its far more difficult to mark Sterling out of a game than Kane. You have to build a team around Kane to get the best out of him. Which is what Spurs have done and why he has scored so many goals. You don't have to do that for Sterling. It was also the same question that was always posed between Shearer and someone like Henry. Shearer had incredible goals scoring ability but to get the best out of him you had to build a team around him.

However as I also said. Neither have shown to perform under pressure. Their England performances show that. And as soon as you add a £100m price tag the pressure is incredible.

Sterling can only excel in a team managed by Guardiola, its easier for him to look good playing with world class players around him. He’s always there to chip in with a goal.

you could get either player, for the same price, who would you choose for your team excluding City or THFC fans?

All depends on what the team needs.

At Liverpool Sterling wouldn’t get past Mane or Salah so I’d take Kane.

Eh? We haven't built a team around Kane 😂 he's just the best striker in the league so we play him up front. That's like saying we built a team around Lloris as he's out best keeper so we keep playing him 😂
