He's got to be dropped in my opinion. I was at Wembley yesterday and yes his set up for Son's goal was lovely but he was once again fumbling about with the ball and losing the ball in posession at any given opportunity. I don't know what has happened to his ball control this season but he looks like bambi on ice when ever he takes the field at the moment.
I know it's harsh to criticise anyone after such a great win but this has been going on pretty much all season with Ali. CL games aside, no one can sit and deny he has been anything but bang average in the league. I thought lamela looked incredibly lively when he come on and has done since coming back from injury. I would seriously consider dropping Ali for Lamela at the moment. Maybe it will give Ali the strong kick up the a** he needs, so he can come back to his best.

No I think a spell on the sideline might do him a word of good. Lamela has looked really lively since back from injury. I think Lamela should start v Brighton.

You don’t even know if Lamela is fit enough to start s game. Although if he is I wouldn’t be against him starting

He looked pretty fit yesterday when he come on. I thought he looked really sharp actually. Made some great attacks and balls into the box.

Different coming on for 15 mins against a tired and shiet stoke but if he’s okay yea give him a start.

Lamela probably ain't fit.
As you all know, I do not think he will even last very long playing football as a career.
But he should be able to play 45 mins if he's on the bench. So maybe start him first half and see what happens. Put Alli on the bench.

BTW ..... how long has Alli been with Spurs now?
2 seasons?
So.... is he a 2 season wonder?
Back to the MK Dons?
Trade him before he loses all of his shine?
Myself, I would have a bit more confidence than that. I think he needs a bit of Pochettino! Perhaps he has girl friend problems?

Deli's control has always left a lot to be desired but in the past his unorthodox tricks and his habit of getting in the box and scoring important goals has shielded him from criticism.
He has to adapt he is being a lot more closely marked now than in the past so Poch has probably decided to let him play thru this relatively bad patch.
If Poch has made that decision then he probably has good reason to, I personally dont think he has been any worse than Eriksen over the last few weeks and at the moment I would stick with both of them until Lamela is 100% fit.
