PFA PLayer of the year

Please multi-board admin

Know it's only half way through the season but if you had to name the PFA player of the year tomorrow who would you chose. For me five players have stood out this season.

5 Stars Kane
4 Stars Silva
3 Stars Salah
2 Stars De Bruyne
1 Star De Gea

Obviously it is only half way through the season and some of these players forms will dip and others will rise however I think to be the PFA player of the year you need to be exceptional throughout the whole season and no one else has consistently shone this season for me.

For me the there is very little between the 5 players and all deserve it for different reasons. Kane for being the best striker in the league, Salah as the best winger, De Gea as the best keeper and Silva and De Bruyne as the best midfielders in the league. If I was going by my heart I would go for Kane who has yet again been phenomal this season but if I was going by my head I would have to say Silva.

In my heart it says Kane of course , but if I’m honest Salah or KDB, both players are quality.

KDB purely because he's going to lift the title and that gives him the edge over Salah.

Its de bruyne. Football isnt just about goals.

with that logic it should be silva. Only reason everyone is saying de bruyne is his goals.

You're right, KDB can't pass, ball control is awful and positioning diabolical.

KDB has been fantastic, but imo silva is the xavi in their team. I would say they'd cope better with KDB out than silva or fernandinho. Just saying, somebody said football isn't just about goals.

Just realising who i'm talking to ignore all that.

For those considering the City players over Salah, he has come in from a foreign league to a new team let's not forget. De Bruyne and Silva were already well settled in this league.

That doesn't matter though. It's what players do on the pitch, not how well have they played considering their circumstances.

Thinking about Salah probably does deserve it but claiming he deserves it because this is his 1st back in the EPL for a while is stupid. It should only come down to who has performed the best and had the greatest positive impact on the EPL and you could easily say that person is Salah but claiming a person deserves an award for other circumstances which may have affected that player makes your vote nothing more than a sympathy vote. It's got be about who you think has been the best player this season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not saying he deserves it because of that. He deserves it because he's been the outstanding individual player in the league in my opinion, but if you were to put De Bruyne and Silva up there as well, then a deciding factor could be him having to deal with coming to a new league which can often hold players back until they settle in. It makes what Salah's doing all the more impressive for me.

David Silva, no brainer.
