has anyones opinion of him changed recently?
ive always said that the guy would need to settle, but many were quick to write him off.
has performed well over the last few games, but again, that was in a 3, and people were quick to suggest he couldnt do it in a 2.
anyway, as you know he came on at half time and for me performed quite well yesterday defensively.
his distribution from the back is also pretty good, and along with Blind is the only one of our defenders with the ability to pick out a pass longer than 5 yards.
so, has anyones perception changed?

Jones and Bailly still our best duo I think but he has improved a lot over last few weeks.
Rojo's distribution has always been poor but yesterday it really was shown up. All he did was knock long aimless balls that got us nowhere. Smalling does it too often too.

That was our main problem yesterday, and it wasn't just the defender guilty of it either. Magic and Herrera tended to hoof it either to Lukaku or down the channels.
It really was diabolical football.

We lost that game 20 mins before the end of the Arsenal game. Pogba is crucial to us against a team as good as City.

Yeah we cant seem to get the transition going at the moment between defence and attack against the more dominant possesion teams with this counter attacking style we've adopted. We were let off the hook againsn't Arsenal.
I cant remember us being set up like this last season, especially when Ibra started. We were more dominant with the ball.
This does seem to be the direction we're going in with Jose but we clearly need another central player, maybe 2 if Pogba doesn't feature for some reason.
Not convinced Rashford and Martial can play in the same team as wide men.One of them needs to be leading the line and that's not going to happen anytime soon with Lukaku uptop.
Though, have Martial and Rashford ever played well together ?

Thought he, like our other defenders didn't enjoy yesterday one bit. Hot potato comes to mind.

Much improved from Lindelof, which is great.
However I still don't really understand Mourinho's desire to go and spend 30m on a player and spend game time integrating him when we have Tuanzebe who looks a really accomplished talent for someone so young, and TFM also out on loan.
That's my major concern - you don't spend that much on a CB for him to be a bench warmer long term, and you'd imagine Bailly when fit will be first choice. Where does that leave Tuanzebe?

i think Jones and smallings previous injury records left Jose little choice to be honest, especially with Rojo being injured too.

Dunc,
Very true and I had considered that.
i just hope that Tuanzebe gets game time. I don't think he's had a bad game for us yet. Just looks the business already - very fast, strong, composed and tidy on the ball and seems to have a level-headedness about him that betrays his age.

I always knew he'd come good for us, Some of our fans were quick to write him off though, I wasn't none of them.

Been good recently, looked fine in a two, yesterday. Good with the ball at his feet.

Is Tuanzebe still continuing his time in the first team squad in training ?
