get over games like yesterday?
eg, games that put us out of the running for a title, or dumped out of the CL?
In my teens and 20s, it would ruin my week.... Through my 30s and now into my 40s... I can move passed it pretty quickly. I was pretty depressed for a couple of hours, yesterday evening.... But i quickly move onto other things.
Is this just an age thing... or are there people my age and above who still fume for days on end? Likewise, are there younger fans who brush it off pretty quickly?
How long does it take you to...

Just a side note, did anyone notice the pre match handshake between Jose and Pep yesterday?
Maybe I'm reading too much into it but I found it funny, after they shook hands and pep started to make his way to the bench, Jose gave his bald head a few slaps
I know he's made reference to Pep's pate in the past

The truth is you've got no mates any more

Life gives us plenty to be depressed about.
No need to focus solely on football.

Same here though. In my 20s it would have been bad when I saw my mates. The only good thing at that time was that it was my mid 20s where I got my first mobile (around 2001) so it isn't as bad as the 'banter' you get now on social media if you're a certain age. Yesterday though the social media was all about the snow in my part of the world.

I genuinley think that when you see these massive overractions on social media to a bad result, an exampel was some reds calling for Klopp to go a few weeks agois directly due to younger fans being unable to handle the grief they get on social media, so they have a massive over raction and want everyone sacked
Seville for you guys in the draw, not too bad, we got Porto so I'll take that.

"Lukaku n*****" was trending on the twittersphere from Utd fans after their loss yesterday. Shows how idiotic football fans are.

Imagine if people engaged with serious issues to a comparable degree as they do with football...
===================================
I've always thought that but then again can you imagine Redknapp,Souness and Savage talking about politics and other such important issues.I think I would prefer them to stick to football

I'm 24 and it does really get me down, I accept city are the better team and they won't dominate for years but it's just so many frustrating things, we have a long way to go before we are city level. I do still look forward to every game and love United, also have a young family so realise footy isn't the end of the world

Unless it's a cup final, I get over these things pretty damn quickly nowadays.
Echoing Barry, now I'm in my thirties I should probably stay fully focussed on matters such as remaining incognito and avoiding maintenance payments rather than letting trivialities like football distract me too much.
General trends do affect me though. When we're winning 80% of our games and, maybe even more importantly, playing well most weeks, I'm not nearly as affected by individual results.

I'm much better with it now than in my teens or 20s.
Was disappointed with the loss yesterday but spent the evening playing with the kids and building a snowman.
Was over it quicker. The win over arsenal helped a lot. If we had lost that, my reaction would be different.
They were better than us and deserved to win
