Thing with that is it's not something you can really quantify, and I'd still argue the influence Silva and De Bruyne especially have on City's attack and defence due to their excellence in midfield has been far greater than De Gea's this season.

It's not just about attacking players anyway. Under Van Gaal De Gea should have been a candidate as his performances justified it. He's not been at that level this season. You've moved the goal posts from saying his saves have won us bucket loads of points to his influence as you were called out for your false statement.

your early season 4 goal games were tight affairs until the 80th minute or so, so even 1 big save in those games could have changed the game.
against liverpool i think he made 1 or 2 good saves while utd did nothing at the other end.
the arsenal game you say he should have made all those saves but some keepers in the league wouldn't have.
for me de gea is the best and your'e fortunate to have him.

Put it this way, we miss Pogba more than we miss De Gea, as we have a very capable stand in with Romero

Hazard is there becuase of what he can do but he hasn't done anything special to be in the team. There have been others who have performed consistently better like Sterling Sane Mehrez and Mane. Hazard and Coutinho were injured and had some good and bad games.

Salah has been brilliant in almost every game. Silva only in recent games.

Was just looking at this site to see how poor mig has been and found de gea’s stats very interesting! Looks like he’s joint top having saved many more shots from many more attempts than the keepers around him. It’s almost like you have a weaker defence than the teams around you yet he has single handed stopped the goals going in - funny that!!
