Wenger & Graham comparisons

I was thinking the other day how similar this season is to George Graham's last season in charge. Both managers had lost their way both tactically and in the transfer market and both teams were miles off the top of the table.

Similarly both teams had some great players ( Wrighty, Adams, Dixon,Nutty, Spunky etc) but also their fair share of dross. (Hillier, Linigan, Carter, Jensen, McGoldrick,Morrow, Helder, Kiwomya etc).

It really does feel like we are reaching the end with Wenger. Just like in G.G's last season things have got so stale and predictable that I barely bother to watch anymore . It's all too sad.

Hopefully a new era is around the corner with a new owner and manager . Let's try and be optimistic !

In the meantime I would urge all true fans to stop giving your money to Kroenke . It's the only way to force him out.

It must be hard for Arsenal fans tbh. Wenger has been there so long and once was a great manager. We had it with Mourinho where you could tell he'd lost his edge. But he was only with us about 5 years in total. Wenger has been at Arsenal for 20 years.

Look at Arsenal now and then back when he joined. Utterly spoiled lot from London, now there's so much money in the game, clubs just buy success and by that I mean top 4, which is where Arsenal should really be, only trouble is other clubs are all catching up and leveling the playing field. Top 10 in the prem will be fighting for top 4 spots within the next 2 seasons.

Some days you feel like we can win it. Other days you feel like we're going to get humiliated by Ostersunds.

Arsenal definitely have the squad to win the Europa. However, there are some good teams in there now, and after Ostersunds you probably will get drawn against decent sides. Therefore, you may have to play more of your first teamers to beat them. Playing your first team every week Thursday/Sunday from February will start to have an affect on your league form come April time. So Wenger needs to decide do I go for a trophy that you have a great chance of winning or 4th spot.

But equally the teams we can face further into the competition will also have their eyes on the domestic competitions. Napoli, for instance, are in a close title battle. Atletico are fighting for top 4, Dortmund are in danger of missing out etc...

They are just as likely to rotate as we are.
