With owner promising to smash the league he had a lot to live up to there.

One wonders about behind the scenes harmony.

Not sure who but I do think and understand that some just wanted a bit of stability for a change.

It seems AR offered Monk a fair extension but we know now that Monk wanted a club “more stable” than Leeds.

Well he got his Stable - ity - at Christmas of all times
