A lot is often made about Souness signing MoJo, the first high profile catholic player to be signed by rangers. It certainly sent a message that all were welcome at Ibrox and opened the door for other catholic players who previously had no interest in signing for us.
It seems however this was just as big if not a bigger issue at the time.

Hard to believe a guy had to put up with that only 30 years ago, 1988 we are talking about here. For a significant amount of people to act like that in Scotland was embarrassing.
Apparently one Rangers fan even did it although was instantly banned by the club.
Sadly scenes like this are still so common in eastern europe. Must be horrible to be subjected to that type of abuse simply because of the colour of skin.

A mad Celtic pub in Cumbernauld closed last week so the zoomers who drank there will be looking for somewhere to watch the game
I’ve had “issues” with some of them before so best I’m in my boys house and by time I get there they will be off to their hovels
