of two incidents, one recent and one not.
The first is the Firmino one. Holgate should have had a yellow. Then the 'racist' insult. My personal viewpoint is racism is disliking a whole group of people because of their race.
Firmino was insulting one person, not a race, a person who had just,in his opinion fouled him. I don't know what he said to him, but even if it included the word black it is not racist. Anymore than if he called somebody ginger or fatso, or wingnut if his ears stuck out. He wanted to insult him because he is not allowed to hit him. If he said the N word, then I consider that racist.
An appropriate response from Holgate would have been ' say that again chummy and you will be in row Z next time" rather than complain to the ref.
Even in the Suarez Evra set to, I would have preferred Evra to say something like, " come down this touchline again and you will think your leg has fallen off, which it would have". Complaining to refs seems so similar to telling things to teacher to get someone in trouble.
And on the Suarez subject, whilst I am broadly in line with the Pool fans on the racist subject, I'm not on the biting. It's just too odd, weird, if one of our players did it I couldn't find the words to defend them.
I think the fans who try to belittle it by saying "nibbles" or they would prefer it to a two footed tackle are missing the point. It's not,and never has been, a part of football, or any other sport I know of, or real life. It beggars belief to me that a response to a foul tackle say is to bite them.
I f I was a Pool fan I would have been pleased when he went, great player though he is, and I would not want him back.
If I was on the FA or his manager, or the ref I have no idea what I would consider a suitable punishment, so would be pleased when he left.
I know these views will get me a lot of stick from both sides, but I have thought about it, it is a forum for opinion, so go for it.
A slightly controversial view

So do you also think that Suarez abused Evra out of the blue? like the panel believed?
What did Even do to provoke that reaction? Nothing perhaps?

They took evras version and gave a conclusion and then they took Suarez's version and gave a conclusion
Suarez asserted that the word is acceptable where he is from but its not, its contentious at best

The language experts said this?
You're either full of crap or just dumb.
Where is Suarez from then?

Incessant questions aren't making your arguments any more valid
The report looked at quite a wide geographical area and has been quoted by me

The only accurate thing you've posted is when you've quoted word for word.
The moment you start talking for yourself it's just hogwash not based on what the quotes actually say.
This is a waste of time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As with most arguments, written or verbal, its perdexy acceptable to make a point and back it up with quotes
Most of what I have said to you specifically I.and posted quotes for and didn't feel the need to do it again and again and again
Yes you are wasting your time by getting precious about the finer details fact is I support utd and Suarez was banned and fined for insulting/racially abusing one of our players. He got a ban and a fine
So whatever you think you can pick out is irrelevant. Mam was found guilty, end of

Now get ready to have your mind blown...
Someone can make a racist comment without being a racist.
Depends what you mean by racist comment. If you mean somebody saying to a black person that hes inferior to him, then no.
If you actually mean racial abuse then yes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, the statement I made doesn't depend on what I mean by a racist comment.

It shouldn't but a lot of people here confuse racial abuse with racism, so I just wanted to be clear what you meant by racist comment.
