MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER TOURNAMENT

Welcome to the 8th official tournament and after a long break I hope all of your appetites for a tournament have been refuelled. Our previous winner Viva has chosen for us to play with the MLS.

This means we are left with 23 spaces available. If we do get more than 23 interested then you will be placed on the waiting list.

Rules

1. Tournament Draw is to be seeded in the group stage.

2. Teams will be openly drawn to anyone. This means that the lower seeded players will not be favoured towards the top teams. Anyone can get anyone.

3. When you are knocked out of the tournament you are out. You will not allowed to switch to another group once knocked out. The only time a player will be allowed in back in the tournament is if the qualifying player can no longer take part. In this scenario, the next best performing player will qualify either on a points basis or play off basis.

Match Rules

1. ONLINE SQUADS ONLY

2. If anyone rage quits a game then you are automatically out of the tournament. Loss of internet is acceptable.

3. Please do not leave the tournament till all your games have been played.

4. If your match disconnects, re-start from the time you disconnected. For example if you disconnect 60 minutes into the game you will restart and play the remaining 30 minutes.

5. When you complete your game, please post your scores here. The score must be verified by both players. If anyone does watch the game on a broadcast then we will have a neutral to confirm it too.

6. Please arrange your games at least a day in advance (so more people can watch you play)

7. All games must be scheduled on the Tournament Thread! No games can be scheduled via the PSN App.

8. If we do not hear from you for 72 hours or we reach a tournament deadline and you have games to play, you will be kicked out of the tournament!

9. If you are kicked out of the tournament you will automatically be banned from the tournament after. You will be allowed back in after that depending on the reason you were kicked out for.

10. Broadcasting games are optional. We would however recommend broadcasting your match because many of us like to watch the games.

11. If you cause a game to be abandoned due to all your players being sent off then you will be handed a 5-0 loss or you will finish the game as you were (Whichever the greater). You will also be docked 3 points.

Group Stage Rules

1. You will only play each other once.

2. 6 minutes per half

3. If you finish level on points the following will be taken into account in this order:
- Goal Difference
- Head To Head
- Goals Scored
- Rankings
- Amount of Wins
- Play Off Match

4. Depending on number of applicants, top 2 of each group will go through. This could be subject to change. A quarter final stage will be attempted as much as possible. If the numbers do not add up then we will go straight to the Semis.

Knockout Round Rules

1. 6 minutes per half

2. 1 Leg only

3. Matches in the knockouts cannot go to penalties so the solution to drawn aggregate scores with no away goal advantage is golden goal. Start another match with your opponent and first to score wins.

4. If you obtain a red card from the match that goes to golden goal you start with a 1 goal handicap meaning you must score two to win. Adding on each one for each red card. If you get a red card in the golden goal match and the game is still not resolved after that game, then please take this rule into account for 2nd golden goal game.

5. The knockouts for this tournament will be an open draw. This means we will do a draw for the knockouts and not decide the decide the knockouts by 1st playing second or winners of match 1 playing winners of match 3.
