Saiz given a 6 game ban. No video evidence, just believed that he spat in the direction of a Newport player. So not conclusive but he's been banned.
Saiz seemed to indicate that he had been elbowed. It is possible that he was caught accidentally in the mouth by a Newport player and spat in the direction of the opponent out of anger. He may have had a bloody mouth as it was suggested there was blood on the players shirt.
Your thoughts?

Sorry Hayemaker, fraid it does work like that. You put out a good team, if not your best, and play with pride and passion because this might well be your only shot at glory and extra revenue in a season. TC clearly doesn't value the history and tradition of the FA Cup or he wouldn't have shown this competition - and Newport - so little respect.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
TC put out a team that on paper should've walked this game but just like Wenger the team let hin down. We beat them easily this season on a real pitch. This should've have been no different. Hind site is amazing. myself would've have had Roofe in the sqaud, he has played at this level on these type of pitches but hey ho, we lost .......... move on to Ipswich.

Bully for you mate!
Its not the result that people are annoyed about, its the quality of play and the absence of an effort, energy and desire to compete that was seen.
Football fans get what we deserve. When we go into a store and pay good money for sub-standard merchandise we don't accept that, but we gonna accept sub-standard effort and quality on the pitch?
Then when attendances drop, fans are called plastics, glory hunters, etc.
Sorry, doesn't work that way for many.

The absence of Saiz will throw greater scrutiny on the quality and depth of the squad. The Newport result was always on the cards, we looked disjointed and second best for far too many periods of the game.
I'm hoping we can truly focus on the League now but more importantly get some new blood in where it counts.
It seems a left back is on the horizon but we badly need a striker or three. Borthwick-Jackson needs to go back across the Pennines. Useless. Klich can join him and take Grot and LaSoppy with him.
Truly awful.
I'd like a keeper too......, please.

The thing that truly baffles me...
Dallas, if he can't get in the first eleven then why the heck wasn't he playing? This was the exact sort of game for Dallas.

Probably not back to full fitness yet. Last thing TC wants is to risk him in a physical game and for him to get a further injury.

What the Newport game boils down to is the old poor team good game, good team bad game!..
Those are the upset games that happen all over the world!..
And we mustn't forget, credit should go to Newport for getting in our faces and making it a bad day!..
Now, where's the League gone?......we have one less thing to concentrate on and a big fish to fry!..
Here's hoping this doesn't turn into another bad run, if it does than people can moan themselves dead!..
