Remember him when I was a kid. A top keeper in his day Was first choice til Clemence arrived for years. Was chuffed to see the chance meeting interview a few years back.
RIP Tommy

As a lifelong Arsenal supporter, I saw him in the league and cup games he played in at Highbury during the sixties after Shankley's team gained promotion. Great 'keeper and from what I am told a really nice bloke.
Thanks for the memories.

Was there another Liverpool keeper in between him and Clemence?

I don't recall one.

He was keeper when I first started supporting the Reds in 1964, when we had the likes of Chris Lawler, Ronnie Moran,Tommy Smith and Ron Yeats in front of him in defence.

Tommy was also probably the first sweeper keeper.

No Vidicschin, Ray clemence was keeper after Tommy Lawrence. Lawrence was with Liverpool from 1959 to 1971 and Clemence from 1967 to1981.
