Press Conference.

A bit of a shift from TC on transfers - said that after De Bock he’d be pleased to see more signings arrive this month and would be happy if a was striker amongst them. #lufc

How do you interpret this?

TC growing some nuts and directly telling orta and making it public that hes not happy with the squad?

or is it more a hint to suggest that we have one lined up and are possibly closer to further additions than we thought?

Fair enough milky.

Still doesn't make McCarthy's style, IMO, sh 1 TE.

I know what you mean, it was just ironic that they played better football in that game than we did.

Understand milky. As you're suggesting, we were
pretty damn sh 1 TE ourselves. Actually, we still
are. I think we can play some good football when
we have all our first XI playing.

Ipswich have some very good attacking players. He utilises their strengths. No use playing tiki taka if you have a striker who suits long balls.

There's a huge expansion between 'Tiki Taka' football and 'Hoofball' football. Most fans would prefer the expansion in between. See Man City and Spurs currently as great examples of how great, technical,
passing, and attacking football is ultimately entertaining.

I'd bin Tiki Taka, Hoofball, and Mick McCarthy.

They are long ball and direct and when they take the lead away from home, they sit back and play a very defensive & aggressive game, time wasting etc etc.

Horrible to watch

Oh to be able to shut up shop. We just bring extra defenders and midfielders on and brick it. Games we were cruising in become backs to the wall panic. We don’t have enough specialist coaches... maybe we should hire big mick as a ‘closer’. If it doesn’t work out we can loan him to some Spanish 3rd tier side.

Yeah because Ipswich Town have the budget Togo out and buy the kind.of players Spurs and Man City do...

Mick McCarthy is a superb manager for getting the best out of average players, and working on a second string budget.

Ipswich- horrible to watch ?

And we've been fabulous to watch last few years?

If we play the most ugly football ever seen between now and the end of the season and win every game I will be a very happy man.

I know a passionate Ipswich fan he can't stand Mccarthy, he's not popular there although he's done a great job this season so far. Garner was a shrewd piece of business.

Ipswich fans aren't keen on McCarthy but think it's more frustration at the club than him. Owner seems to have lost interest and isn't showing ambition. Can't see how anyone could do a better job there given the resources.

Looking forward to Portman Road tomorrow
