You can go on about calming down, we're still in the mix and we can still sign new players, but at the end of the day our midfield is NOT good enough and you wont ever win promotion with an inferior midfield. Viera is just about good enough for a promotion team, the rest are not. we need experienced, hardened championship midfielders that are among the best in this league.
We're not good enough and we're going nowhere fast as long as the owners continue to waste time and money on a development squad that are struggling in there respective league and a first team squad that cant beat Newport and 3 teams in the bottom 6, 1 of which didn't even have a ducking manager.
We've had no left back for over a year, its the 14th January and we STILL haven't got a left back ready. WTF were the owners doing in December.
I'm paying around 80 quid travelling down this weekend with some family to watch us probably get kicked all over the park by a team that should be in League 2. 35.000 fans will start to whittle down to 25,000 fans if we don't sort this dross out.
At the end of the day

Yet again we have a very poor squad & are over achieving.

We aren’t over achieving - we are where we are on merit same as all teams in the league.

I see more away games, central mids looked pretty good when I’ve seen them live
Surprised people on here are not more into needing a striker. We are sadly lacking in that department. Football being a team game, weaknesses anywhere will cause problems elsewhere on the pitch - if your midfield don’t have strikers winning their battles, they have no outlet and are more likely to look poor
I think the problem is, unless we get lucky with an untried player at this level, strikers cost serious money and I doubt Rads has budgeted for a lot more player spending this season

Yes yes the league does not lie but come on, assessing things after the 1st half it is a very poor squad in a very poor Championship.

Therefore we are probably where we should be.

So if it's such a poor championship no reason we can't maintain where we are surely?
Is it poor - or are we in a league where all teams are so evenly matched. i'm not convinced the standards are any better/worse than I've seen for the last 10 years. It's just overall teams (Wolves apart) are much of a muchness.

Agreed VOF. This over achieving malarkey is a myth. We will end up where we deserve to be. At the moment that’s 7th on goals scored. About what most expected at this stage of the season.

Yep agree Stoopo......
All we're seeing at the moment is understandable frustration from fans who've put up with too much carp for far too long.
I've not contributed much for some time, I've preferred to sit back and read what's going on. I think everyone is making fair enough points, but I do think a lot is borne out of frustration.
I'd have snapped your hands off if offered 7th in Jan, with such (another) new squad. We're in the mix, on merit, fingers crossed we'll maintain it. Need 2 signings to freshen and provide more ability though ... other teams will try to around us.

VOF do you mean 2 more signings?

Yeah 2 more. Striker & a Charlie Adams (type) in midfield.

Martin? I’d take him up front.
