Christ knows why we aren’t looking for a right back or even a quality central defender.......
Leicester bid for Sarr

I think centre half can wait, particularly while Puel has a think about the merits of Dragovic. It is odd that we're not more actively chasing a right back though given that neither Simpson or Amartey offer much going forward.
Regarding our actual targets, I did wonder whether we'd look to strengthen given we don't have an array of options to play in the 3 of a 4-2-3-1. Trying to bring in two players is interesting though, not least because we've got to find sufficient game time for everyone.

Wasn’t he supposed to be going to Montpellier?
Seems Leicester have upped their offer/package to him and turned his head and Montpellier have been priced out. Looks a good player, but it’s telling of where Leicester have fallen to since the title win that you’re not his first choice.

We more than likely are looking at all positions, but hopefully keeping a low profile so as not to alert other teams, because this would start a bidding war.
I like the stance of keeping under the radar, get the player the terms, then sign him pronto (unlike Silva !).
This Bouna Sarr geezer would possibly mean a winger/midfielder out? He's 25 so would probably be signed with the view of being involved with the 1st team/subs regularly?

Two-footed which is great and is combative by the looks.
Plays on either flank aswell.
An upgrade on Demarai Gray?

I think with the Diabate signing and now the Starr link we can say the Walsh era and influence is now over.

I think Gray is here for the long term, puel rates him and Chilwell highly. Both of these signings provide squad depth in attacking areas that Musa for example doesn’t and unlike Musa - they have real potential

Signing players from the lower French leagues? Couldn’t be more Walsh’s MO if it tried!!
But you’re right, our transfer policy has clearly changed scouting more talent from the weaker European leagues. These can provide gems or duffers in equal measure!

I think What lives on is the scouting network and way of performing analysis on players - that’s all Steve Walsh really. And despite the fact we don’t have him anymore to vet the signings, part of the reason we are still likely to find more gems is down to his work.
He will do the same at Everton but it will take time. Time he might not be given at that level

Never heard of him, but a few articles are saying he has played right back this season?
