After a disappointing (to put it mildly) defeat against the Hammers we’re back on the road again, this time to the Bet 365 Stadium in Stoke. I’ve been wracking my brains to try and remember if i’ve been there before or not. I know I’ve been to their old stadium but will have to wait till I get there and see if it brings back any memories.

Going back to last week’s defeat it seems it was how we capitulated that has so annoyed people. It was a poor game, I admit, and hopefully we’ve learnt from it and there’ll be no more stupid, individual errors. 😡

Stoke are below us in the table and we need to keep them there, so we have to win or at least get a draw. We were unlucky not to beat them a few weeks ago, can’t have history repeating. Although I admit I would take a draw if need be.

Stoke have appointed Paul Lambert as their manager this week, another one plucked from the managerial carousel. Surely he won’t have had enough time to get them playing how he wants 🤞

Cliche alert - I know it’s still only January but we need to start picking up points and creating some distance between us and the bottom three. I really hope we’re safe by Easter so we can go into the last few games breathing easy.
