Olivier Giroud would be ideal

Saw Parlour and Merson discussing Chelsea's hunt for a striker to take some of the pressure off Morata and they threw Giroud's name in to the mix.

I can imagine many might scoff at the idea but it would be a sensible move for me. He's big and strong, chips in with a decent number of goals and is a versatile if unspectacular player. Whether Arsenal would sell to us I don't know but I'd imagine he's available and the player would jump at the chance.

How about a Giroud - Morata swap with no cash involved?

Isn't Giroud looking at leaving Arsenal because he's fed up with being super sub?

If your after a big lad he'd be brilliant, really underrated

I personally think Giroud is sh|t. Never been a top 4 elite level striker. Only the past 2 seasons he’s been a sub. Started sh|t loads in seasons prior. Never scored more than 16 league goals. And on the 2 occasions he did that he played 36 games.

Not good enough, especially in an Arsenal team that has 70% possession in 28 of the games a season.

Giroud is alright but Dzeko is much better.I would love to see Chelsea sign either Giroud or Dzeko to be fair.We could have gone for Pierre Emerick Aubemeyang but it is obvious we won't try to sign him.

Giroud isn't great because his main footballing strengths are the opposite of his physical ones

He has the body of a hold up CF but is useless at holding it up

He wants to play off shoulder but doesn't have the pace to get away from defenders

He's decent at getting on the end of crosses though... we just have no one who can cross

He might work better in a front two as he's decent at little one twos in the box

My thoughts exactly. I'd find it hard to get behind him
He's an incredible frustrating player. He suits the Arsenal pretty boy culture they've got going on there
Don't want him at Chelsea.

You know who's only 34. Robin Van Persie.
He would have never come to us though.

Drogba scored more than 12 PL goals twice in 8 seasons.
