I haven't posted for a while but thought I would in the wake of the Sanchez to United.
Firstly.. Arsenal selling to United, there best player, It shows how far they've dropped. They're not going to get in those champions league places or at least it's really unlikely they will.. I'm surprised at what goes on at Arsenal but also imagine being a fan there..
Which brings me on to us.
I don't get Chelsea sometimes, now I don't think all this rubbish of trying to sign Carrol, Barnes or the BFG is true. But. What are we doing? What's our aim? Do we want to compete? We don't do big name transfers.. however.. I think if you look at United, they clearly want to compete at the top whereas us, I think we want to, but something tells me we're not going to be able to unless other teams drop off or we join in with spending the money, let's be honest, we're also not short of a few bob..
Oh and because I haven't said much for a while, Morata.. Fernando Torres Mark 2 at times
Sanchez to United and a few things

almost 25 million a year on wages, who said utd cant buy a point. pity Mourinho wont be able to get much out of him as he enters his 3rd season meltdown. Can see Jose sacked by Christmas and utd close to bankruptcy again

I'm starting to think there is a bigger picture. Maybe we have our eyes (and agreements) on someone in the summer and we just need to secure a top 4 position. All our January targets are stop gap players.
Might be wrong and Roman has got bored, but feels unlikely.

I don't get this Romans bored thing. He loves football. He's in it because he's passionate about the game so why would he get bored? The Glazers and Kronke are in it to make money. The former realised they can make more by investing in the club whereas Kronke is happy to take as much out as he can and spend little as possible. The sale of Alexis is a prime example

Tbf arsenal have got a great deal by selling sanchez and getting mkhi in. Massive wages avoided, 6 months left and got a decent player too.

Mkhi was badly mismanaged by Jose. He’ll breath again under Wengy. It will be interesting to see what happens to Martial now that Sánchez will take his place

Under the circumstances Arsenal couldn't have gotten a better deal for Sanchez. Mkhitaryan was grossly undervalued by Mourinho, not saying he's on Sanchez's level but he's a damn fine player who naturally suits the 3-4-2-1 better.
Had a howler to get Sanchez's contract to this point no question, but they made the absolute best of the situation this month.

We don’t even have the money to compete with united and city for players. Nothing we can do really.

They didn't sell him

Ok stop taking it as literal. They don't have him anymore and it was a swap for a player, it's still classed as a sale..
