Dzeko Seen Packing His Bags

The smart money is that he is on his way to Cobham. I have a sinking feeling that this might be happening. I say sinking feeling because, Dzeko is not eligible to play in the CL having previously played for Roma this season. I guess he’ll still be useful to secure top 4 and other cup competitions. Not sure what the fee was agreed, but going by various reports, the fees is around £24m - £25m plus add ons of £5m, set on appearances basis etc... He’ll sign a 1.5 year contract with an option to extend for another year. He will get approx £125k per week. Batshuayi looks certain to leave on loan, Sevilla and Dortmund are the interested parties to take him on loan. Bats needs minutes under his belt which he will almost certainly get with them.

So what do you make of this signing (if it happens) lads ?

If we sit back and invite them on to us we are facked.

Need to make them as uncomforatble as possible.

I say go 343 and give them hell.

We'll get absolutely shredded if we play two in midfield against Barcelona. We're gunna be exposed down the flanks playing three at the back anyway, so we have to keep the middle tight to even stand a chance.

It's precisely the sort of match we should be playing 3-5-1-1 in, not against mid to lower PL teams like we've been doing this season.

The 1.5 year deal looks ok. Anything above that would be a risk and also looking at our recent history of only giving one year contracts even to legends like Terry and lampard.

Where does it leave Abraham for next season though?

Gazza, if this does happen I wouldn't be surprised to see Morata as 2nd choice behind Dzeko (for the league anyway), given how fragile Morata is looking of late.

I doubt Dzeko would have missed all three of those chances Morata squandered at Arsenal.

What are your feelings on it?

Morata is similar build to dzeko, I wonder if we are getting him as a mentor to morata, who let's not forget, is our record signing.
