Lets see if we can look at some facts and have a reasonable debate, after all that's what this forum is about. I want to discuss Moreno, Mignolet and Lovren plus Klopp.
The 3 defensive players whom Klopp refuses to jettison, we all know the three and why i have highlighted them. Now, they are not always at fault but when we need to dig in and when the defence is called on, well..when have you thought, ah its ok Moreno, Lovren and Mignolet will save us! Never, right? its the opposite, absolute terror..
Now klopp had the likes of Subotic and Hummels at Dortmund, so he knows a CB when he sees one, dont know about a keeper but he must have had a decent one to win the title and reach the CL final.
So why does he persist in using Moreno, Migs and Lovren? Its clear as day that they are just not, and never will be good enough. Moreno actually cost is the Europa final, 100%. Mignolet, well the stat that always sticks out is number of shots on our goal, most results in goals. In fact i think W Brom had 3 shots on our goal....3 goals; and that's not unusual by any means, its a serious serious flaw. I REALLY do not get why he keeps plying these players, Klopps no fool but he does keep playing these and they keep costing LFC games and goals.
As for Klopp himself, after 2 finals and the expansive football it did and does look good for us, however; this repetitive failings at the hands of the bottom teams, Swansea twice and W Brom tonight both who are bottom and 2nd bottom in the league! Its a recurring theme and one that Klopp does not seem to have learnt from, and that is worrying. As Einstein said, the definition of insanity is when you expect different results from repeating the same thing over and over again.
The more competitions we go out of the more pressure Klopp will be under, the more chance top players will leave and the more the crowds will start to lose faith, its natural if you dont see progression.
We have now the top 4 and the CL to play for, make no mistake the pressure now is a notch cranked up again. Klopp knows the players, he has enough time to play with a game a week now, its not panic but after back to back losses to the leagues worst teams (according to the league table), i think he has to deliver more Vs the lower placed teams.
Klopp is a top manager so i believe he will get it right, but...there are signs its not going as smooth as some of us would have hoped.
No Kneejerking.

If we dont finish top 4which is a strong possiblity serious questions need to be asked of Klopp. But the team was poor tonight this feels a bit like dejavu like this month last season only hopefully we finish in the top 4 or it be a bad season. Another trophyless season and VVd looked like hes actching he bad efneding we are at. The players need to step up and take looks at thmeselves something needs to give.

Just like against Swansea, Klopp looked weirdly subdued on the touch line.

My honest opinion is that Klopp hasn’t learnt quickly enough. I think he came to the epl and thought he could succeed in attacking talent alone and that average defenders would be enough if the attack was good enough. Now I don’t actually blame him for that, it could be argued Pep came with the same attitude. The difference is that it took Pep one year to figure out that wasn’t the case and make changes. Klopp has seemed stubbornly resistant to that realisation.
He’s invested heavily in VVD so perhaps the penny has dropped. I actually like Robertson and Clyne is solid when fit. Goalkeeper is an issue, no two ways about it. Potentially a CB partner for VVD? Although I still think there’s a player in Matip and I really rate Gomez.
As for Klopp being under pressure, that’s madness imo. We are a club with proud tradition but ultimately we’re in a league with 4 of the richest clubs in the world, including the richest and two sugar daddy clubs. I don’t expect league wins, I just expect progress and I think we we’re looking better year on year. That said, Klopp’s record in the domestic cups is pretty poor. I’d love that to change!

I’m sure Lovren did not play last 2 games. We need to also accept that Matip is another donkey.

Maybe the players are absolutely knackered due to Klopp thinking that you can just almost literally run all over the opposition. No doubt the pressing game will trouble the opposition and deliver results, but it will also tire your own team out. Heavy metal football might work okay in Germany, where the opposition is generally awful and defensively compliant, but in England, that isn't so much the case. So you expend more energy with less guaranteed results.

Maybe Clippety is concentrating on the PL title this year.
