They’re coming for us (episode 4)

After being the first team to score 3 goals in one half at Anfield since Real Madrid and being the first team to win at Anfield this season, WBA will be hoping for a much kinder draw in the next round.

Maybe a home tie against one of our neighbours.

Let’s see.........

Coventry are still in it. Blues have a replay.

Goodnight.

How come you keep calling him Alan Partridge?

Aha! He's reminiscent of the other comedian. From Norwich. We should celebrate that.

Partridge is usually good for the first 4-6 months......seems his ideas are washed up !

He doesn’t stay in a job for long, you might get another chancer in before the seasons out, yes ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The thing is, all the other sides got managers in who have turned them around. Partridge has just taken them to the bottom. On the plus side, they can't drop any lower.

Nor me. But I am aware of it. To be honest I never found him funny.

Good to see Swansea getting their win yesterday.

Southampton and Stoke seem to have comfortable games tonight, and that could see them accrue valuable points.

Will Alan Partridge manage to take anything from Man City, or will his motley bunch remain anchored to the bottom? We will see...

Newcastle, Stoke, Southampton and Brighton all drops points from games they would've been expecting to win.
Meanwhile, we got our most difficult match of the season out of the way.

Not exactly a disastrous night all round.

We've now got 10 very winnable games from 13. I doubt any of the other teams around us have such a favourable run in.

The way things are going, 36 points could well be enough to keep us up.

Wins:
Saints (H)
Huddersfield (H)
Burnley (H)
Swansea (H)

Draws:
Watford (A)
Leicester (H)
Bournemouth (A)
Newcastle (A)

And this is assuming we get nothing from the other 5 matches.

Not exactly a mountain to climb.

Huddersfield, Brighton, West Ham, Watford and Newcastle have all got to play more top 6 teams than us.

Newcastle, Stoke, Southampton and Brighton all dropped points from games they would've been expecting to win.

However they did increase their leads over us, leaving us 4 points off safety.

Meanwhile, we got our most difficult match of the season out of the way, against a side where Wolves drew without conceding.

Not exactly a disastrous night all round, but leaves us in an ever worse position.

We've now got 10 very winnable games from 13. I doubt any of the other teams around us have such a favourable run in. However, since Pardew came in, we have only been on a downward spiral.
