Millwall 0 - 0 Derby County

1945
The New Den
Millwall Landan

"No one likes us, we don't care" runs the refrain from the some of he most pitiful followers of a south east London club in a forlorn attempt to big themselves up.

Anyway enough of them. The plethora of articles of the last couple of weeks has seen posters project themselves to the fore of being PotY2018. Where were you during the hustings ? We are such an eclectic bunch of posters with a such a wry, sideways look on life at DCFC and beyond.....harness this and focus it on the the match thread, where anything goes.

We welcome back Mojaca, welcome back...

We welcome back Heb, welcome back.....

We say goodbye to JR and JS.......

The CM saga continues, now CC has gotten mardy and forgotten his place and his clubs place in the football hierarchy.....

Deadly JL should be available but BJ is still out with a bad back.

And...

The Rams haven't won both league matches in a season against Millwall since 1968-69, when they were managed by Brian Clough.

So there.

Things to discuss:-
* The Royal succession line
* Freedom of expression
* 'Weather was invented to give people in Belper something to talk about'
* Should BBC male presenters have taken a pay cut or should they have raised female pay to the male level?

Team news:-
Carson
Wisdom
Keogh (C)
Davies
Forsyth
Huddlestone
Thorne
Lawrence
Vydra
Weimann
Nugent

Substitutes: Roos, Anya, Baird, Pearce, Winnall, Jerome, Ledley

hi folks

A few amateur musings on last night's game:

For me Andre Wisdom was our mom - solid defensively but has now taken to making forward runs with the ball through the centre a la Keogh. One memorable run got him all the way to the edge of the box when he seemed to get a nosebleed and desperately try to offload when a shot might've been better - goal of the season if it goes in.

Davies was very solid and dependable. Mr Reliable. Love him.

Fossie tried hard - bless him - and defensively was OK but his passing and crossing let him down.

The Huddz and Gorgeous are a cm pairing the envy of the division... although George seemed to tire a bit later on and misplace the odd pass. But Huddz's passing ability is a joy to watch.

I wouldn't agree that Weimann was invisible - he was in the action plenty and didn't seem to get much support from the ref when bundled over a few times.

Anya buzzed around manically when he came on and frightened a tired Millwall defence with his pace. Impact sub role for him in future?

And Jerome? I have to say I had him down as a bruiser-style physical centre forward who just puts it about a bit with little else to offer. But based on last night I was wrong. He was making intelligent runs off the ball and his pass to Anya for the goal-that-wasn't was sublime. He could turn out to be a fabtastic bit of transfer dealing by Sir Gary.

An enjoyable game and I've certainly seen worse 0-0's. We looked the more skilful side and fractionally had the better of the game but not so much that a draw is a huge travesty.

I was pleased to see that we competed physically as well, not sure some Rams sides of the recent past would have done.

Onwards and upwards...

I remember when, in Germany, we were banned from driving home for at least 48 hours after an exercise. Too many car accidents and fatalities with people relying in caffeine to get home......
