So various reports that there have been potential talks between Chelsea & spurs in regards to a swap deal for Batshuayi & Llorente.
Now I donāt particularly believe this but for some reason it keeps getting reported that Chelsea are after has-been lanky strikers (plus there were in for Lorente in the summer) so it may have legs.
Personally Iād love the deal to go through as Llorente is slow and we donāt suit his style of play at all. Bats fits within the Spurs mould well & is young. The Chelsea fans Iāve spoken with seem to think heās useless but to be honest I quite like the guy and just feel heās low on confidence.
Again I donāt think this would happen & Iām not sure if Bats would want to be behind Kane in the pecking order but if this deal happened id he very happy along with the Moura deal (if Chelsea donāt nab him from hinder our noses lol)

Merry-go-round: Giroud was lined up to replace Aubameyang at Dortmund then got offer from Chelsea & was keen, so Dortmund turned to Batshuayi. But Chelsea baulked at Giroud fee so discussed Batshuayi/Llorente swap with Spurs, which nobody agreed on. Deadlock #AFC #BVB #CFC THFC

We should drag those caants along and then pull the plug on the deal at the last minute, under no circumstances should we be strengthening them after Willian, Arnesen, Modric etc etc

But would we even be strengthening them by swapping Llorente for Batman? I know they want a big target man, but I feel like it'd strengthen us more than them. The bigger issue is whether we'd want to facilitate Arsenal getting their man.
Actually, the bigger issue is that this almost certainly won't happen anyway.

Spurs should be in for Giroud if he's up for sale but probably demand £50m from us rather than the reported £18m agreed with Chelsea.
