Something that seems to have been missed is Pogba being subbed after 60mins. Of course Pogba is not going be at his best as he is playing in a midfield two. He is playing far too deep. He can't influence the game as much from where he is currently playing.
I'm not sure why Jose continues to persist with this. We all can see Pogba is far better playing higher up the pitch. Whether this is due to a lack of CM to play beside Pogba is another thing. He should be our main link between defence and midfield.
Hopefully Jose addresses this matter sooner rather than later, as it is impacting our performances.

Young has had a good season, but if he is our left back going into next season we will have another fruitless year.

That’s what I’m saying, young is much better than shaw, but we need to get a decent forward playing left back. Shaw needs to go, he’s had long enough and has been crap for the most part.

"I think they call it pressure makes you do silly things."
Nah, he did silly things at Juve too, and for France.
Can't blame pressure on him watching his runners, over hitting simple passes and not making himself available for the ball. He just wasn't good enough last night.

I don't really see that last night's game is cause for much debate.
Spurs had Dier and Dembele in the middle, with Alli and Eriksen joining to make at times a 4 man middle. Son was also cutting in on the diagonal and helping to overload those central areas.
Pogba isn't at his best in a midfield two but frankly you could have swapped Pogba and Matic for any two players in the game and the result would have been no different. Two versus three and often four players isn't going to work, no matter how good you are or how well suited to the role.
The set up was wrong and played into Spurs' strengths. As such the players looked lost as to how to deal with Spurs' extra outball in the middle and out wide, and simply couldn't get a foothold because Spur press pretty relentlessly high up the pitch. It's very difficult to turn that kind of situation around when the balance of play is firmly set to one teams' favour, but I felt Mourinho took an age to react and when he did, it was with some pretty suspect subs.

Pretty obvious by Joses gestures on the sideline. No one should need the internet to tell them this.

Yet another example of Jose not getting the best out of players by using him incorrectly. Seems to be a common theme these days.
