Fulham FC V Forest Match Thread

Where to start?

Karanka has to be the toughest manager in British football and I can't begin to second guess tomorrows team.

I don't expect Smith to be dropped, nor Worrell, Lichaj to return at L/B and Darikwa R/B [could be wrong there though] Bridcutt to return in D/C/M.
Ben Brereton to play C/F with possibly Murphy on the bench.

Out of the new boy's it depends on who is match fit, but guessing at Joe Lolly, Adeline and Jack Colback? but hey who knows!

Fulham have signed right-back Cyrus Christie from fellow-Championship club Middlesbrough for an undisclosed fee and Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic on loan until the summer.

Republic of Ireland's Christie, 25, has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal, with the option of a further year.

The former Coventry and Derby man made 26 Middlesbrough appearances after signing for a reported £2.5m in 2017.

Mitrovic, 23, has scored twice in seven games for the Magpies this season.

Fulham's director of football, Tony Khan, told the club website: "Aleksandar is a talented player who has already amassed an impressive record at the highest levels of the game.

"Cyrus is a fantastic young player who brings both an international pedigree and a wealth of Championship experience with him."

Meanwhile, the west London club have terminated the season-long loan deal of Rafa Soares and the left-back has returned to parent club Porto.

Slaviša Jokanović is expecting to come up against a different Nottingham Forest side on Saturday to the one he watched in midweek.

Fulham’s Head Coach took in a scouting mission at the City Ground on Tuesday – a match the Reds lost 3-0 to Preston North End.

But having added six players to their ranks on deadline day, Jokanović anticipates a different game at Craven Cottage.

“They made some movements in the last few days and I expect they are going to try and use some different players," he stated. “But from another side it was successful in me refreshing my mind and remembering how Aitor Karanka plays.

“I expect they are going to be organised, compact, solid especially on the defensive side. They won’t take many risks, and will try and wait for some kind of mistakes.

“I don’t know what players he is going to use tomorrow. There are many new players, they are going to try and impress the new manager, and I expect they are going to be working 120 per cent.

“They didn’t play especially well [on Tuesday] and now the game that is in front of us is going to be really tough, complicated, and we must be ready for the challenge."

Karanka is new at the helm, and Jokanović expects Forest’s players to up their game in a bid to impress the boss.

“He’s a quality manager, a manager who has experience of being promoted with Boro," he said. “He’s a great man. They’re not a team yet, they’re still building something new.

“From another side, they are going to be extra motivated, they are going to show their best face and best performance in front of the new manager.

“The players from the past are going to try and show a better performance than they showed last game.

“I expect I’m going to find a completely different attitude of Nottingham Forest to the one I found on my trip to observe them.

“There’s a kind of revolution they’ve made over the last few days, and this can lead to some positive and some negative things."

Your page seems to suggest your a Leicester City fan? Not sure how 3 more points really affects us as we are in different leagues?

Did you watch the full game at Fulham, watched it on I-Follow or one one of the many Twitter streams. Either way, thanks for the support,

Cheers

We should have had a free kick on the edge of the box, that was a very poor decision by the Referee.

I feel sorry for Jordan Smith, his replacement didn't have a perfect game after all?

Watson’s finally been announced ✅

2 and half year deal

Top signing. Some real competition in there now. Hopefully they’ll get a deal done for Garrido as he could push Fox for the LB spot.

Ben Watson on a 2 and half year deal is excellent business, real statement of intent, and better still doesn’t count as a loan signing. We will certainly have some leadership and battling qualities in midfield, certainly won’t be the push over we have been. Well done AK must have really sold his vision.👍
