After today's game, the debate on whether VAR should be introduced has gained momentum. What you think about the accuracy or otherwise of the decisions today is irrelevant. Clarity is needed to ensure you don't get cheated or called cheats when you've done it fair and square.
Welcome to the Premier League, VAR.
Do you agree or disagree with this?

Your expectations regarding what it is possible to see are unrealistic - no question.
If I showed anyone incidents of that nature, in real time, there's no way you'd expect 100% accuracy.
Regarding the points loss, you can't work it out because you have no idea what might have happened had the decision been 'correct'.
There will be lots of decisions in your favour throughout the season that could have affected the flow of a game and assisted you.
It's really quite immature, the approach you're taking.
Typical of a modern day football fan though, sadly.

I am amazed at the gross overreaction from Liverpool fans on this one.
======
Why?
Your fans do the same all the time.
Weird.

"Also it has been building up this season as we've had a poor season in terms of officiating going against us."
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It happens. Sometimes you have a bad season in terms of points lost due to officiating errors. Unless you're one of those people who believes it evens out over the season.
=======
Simple logic. These guys are blinded by the rivalry and its useless trying to have a rational discussion.
We've had great officiating seasons and bad ones too over the years. This one certainly not our best.

My expectations are not unrealistic at all. If you watched the incident which I'm getting increasingly sure that you haven't, you'd see the ball come in quite slowly and a Spurs player knock it on, again quite slowly, with his head. At that point, Lamela is offside. The official misses that but he sees, from the same position, a foul which is behind the player facing him.
For me, he should spot the offside. However the fact that he saw the more difficult incident to judge, from the same position, despite it occurring from behind the player facing him, proves to me that he should be able to spot the easier decision from the same position.
I believe it's quite an immature and frankly idiotic position to hold a belief that teams will win some and lose some in terms of decisions for and against them, in a season. It's quite reasonable to suggest, that over the course of a season, a team may have quite a few more decisions, like the two I mentioned earlier, going against them.
Just like if you flipped a coin 38 times, you may end up with 22 tails and 16 heads. Perhaps if you went on another 38 times you be closer to a 50/50 split.
I suspect a bit of bias in your position which is a shame as there have been many neutrals agreeing that the officials got it wrong. Some people are able to keep their bias from affecting them so much, like when I was on the match thread for the United game on Saturday and stated the young lad should have had a penalty. Some aren't, like yourself.

Your expectations are unrealistic. It is unrealistic to expect officials to get offside decisions that are a matter of inches, correct every time.
You're behaving the way you are because you cannot accept that officiating in that manner will never be perfect, which is immature.
I've seen a video of the linesman's view and the kick is very easy to spot. Far easier than deciding who was further ahead in terms of the striker and the last man.
"I believe it's quite an immature and frankly idiotic position to hold a belief that teams will win some and lose some in terms of decisions for and against them, in a season."
Is that what I said?
Maybe come back to me when you can read.
You are the biased one here, not me, Laughable for you to claim otherwise given that this is a discussion about Liverpool.
But as we have established, you're too immature to accept subjectivity and to accept errors in officiating, so it's hardly a surprise that you're too immature to accept alternative opinions.
Probably why you were on a forum arguing until 2am.

Are you sure you're on the right thread?
You used to be better at this.
This is absolute hogwash and not only that, most of it is grossly untrue/made up nonsense. You talk less sense and are more obstinate than Diego or even my two year old tiger. You'll probably take this as abuse when its actually cold hard facts.
Pathetic.

It's taken less than three threads for it to be apparent that you are here simply to troll.
Better luck next time because I'm certainly not interested in feeding your childishness. Filtered.

If you want to continue this debate then it'll need to be elsewhere, as I am filtering the author of this article now so won't see any other posts on the matter.
That said, it's unlikely you have anything of value to add, as we have established above - particularly as you can't even read basic sentences and so accuse me of saying something that I didn't. Good day.

I just find it hilarious that you call people immature and yet type the things you do. You really need to grow up.
