Midfield options.

Looking at the games we have played recently and the ones coming up, to me it looks like we need a couple of quality additions. Thankfully we have a top top player in Keita joining that will help massively, we also need another and maybe, maybe its Lemar we wait on that one.

Currently we have Wij, Hendo, Can, Milner, AOC and Lallana. We are losing Can but as already mentioned gaining Keita; so our first choice MF you would guess is likely to be:

..........Henderson........
.....Lallana..........Keita......

Vs the top teams is that enough? thoughts? Do we need another real top quality mf? Maybe its Lemar, who knows.

more...so a once in a lifetime shot and a dembele ruling the pitch...how come spurs had to rely on a 94th minute pen JUST to get a draw??

U see, from where i was watching we bossed u lot 1st half and were unlucky not go in 3-0 up; and dint dembele the magnificent get hooked

GB, not being funny mate, but Liverpool only had three shots on target all match, so how do you work out Liverpool should have been 3-0 up at half time. Not much between the two sides first half, second half Spurs were a class apart. Liverpool in no way bossed any part of that game.

Dembele ruled the Anfield pitch, specially in the second half.

And our returning midfielder Wanyama destroyed your goal net!

Wanyama BOOM!

No question, Dembele impressed, dominating the midfield. However we contributed to that. By the start of the second half, the Reds has ran out of gas. The running, harassing, the tackling had virtually disappeared.

Our team looks tired. Firming needs a rest.

We were the better side first half but after scoring an early goal we were happy to sit back and counter which allowed Spurs to have the ball. This is what Spurs did to us at Wembley but they were able to take advantage of their counters and we weren't.

Jimmy, I must say Liverpool did look tired second half, Spurs used to be like that, but we seem to get stronger now. Probably a learning curve for your team.

We allowed you to have the ball and defended, chasing everything. This tired the players out. I think the learning curve was in the first game and that's why Klopp changed it for this one. The game changed when Henderson had to go off as you then you took control of the midfield.

Dembele has a problem hip, rarely plays two games in a week, let alone two in 4 days.

On his day he is unstoppable, but we thought we would let Wanyama have a go too

Yeah, great goal, no doubt he'll be sending in screamers like that on a weekly basis for evermore.

Not taking anything away from Spurs, but our deterioration in the second half made you look better than you actually were. All the speed, the energy had been drained from us.
