Is this now a new "blockbuster"?

Once the dust settles which is almost never, with fans like GB, the game between Liverpool and Spurs seem to produce some excitement and drama.

What we saw today had everything in the game:

Individual brilliance, kamikaze defending, thunderbolt goal at 62mph, drama till the 95th minute and managers with passions!

Is this the must watch fixture now?

Possibly it is! Two attacking sides and both have managers that preach passion and fast pace football.

So well done for a spectacular Sunday, a real Blockbuster of a game!

Prefer Liverpool V Man City

Because Liverpool won it?

No offence but this is the first time in ages where you have won one of the games between us. Let’s be honest it was the last 10 mins that made this game. The first 80 were not that memorable.

It was a good game of Football to watch, and we should have won it.

If I were were a Liverpool fan I would be worried about how knackered the players looked so early in the 2nd half.

Liverpool, City, Spurs and Arsenal to an extent play proper football.

Utd and Chelsea play snore fest football. Imagine supporting one of those clubs right now. I pity them!!

I'd rather we played with the style and verve that spurs and Liverpool do. However, being premier league champions has its compensation. It's a tough one when you try to compare style with substance, only City seem able to combine the two. I have a feeling that you'd take our game all day long if it brought with it the success we've enjoyed over the last few years.
Sounds strange saying this but I was looking forward to your game far more than I am ours tonight.

This game was nowhere near as good as the Pool City game...in fact it was pretty poor for chunks of both halves....the good stuff was all in small sections...good result for all the others at the top though

Because it was a game about the players and not a linesman with aspirations of making a name for himself.

To answer the Op, it wasn't that great a game at all

Couple of decisions to make for ref, one of which was deep into stoppage time
Wonder goal from Wanyama

Not much excitement apart from that

Keepers were hardly pulling off save after save

we were weak in the last half hour. very weak.

Usually both sides run all day and cancel each other out. We did well for 55mins then had nothing to throw on.
