Where now for the job? Whoever does get it will know they were way down the preferred options, unless some dark horse not previously mentionrd gets it..

Ath < Maybe just as well sticking with Strachan? >
Agree and I've posted that before.
It got an underwhelming response on here tho
Scotland played 7 competitive games during 2017 under GS.
We were unbeaten in those 7.
We were also seconds away from beating England.
In league terms 15 points out of 21.
Not top drawer but no shabby either.

Should have stuck with Strachan

Feck no, stubborn wee bassa, it took him how many years to play Griffiths?

He had his favourites clearly.
Vast majority of coaches do.
Still been better keeping him till we had a viable replacement.

I think he realised he made many mistakes with his choices, sadly too late to matter but might have been better sticking with him instead of the farce we now have.

of course he had his favourites, am sure if we all put down a Scotland xi we wouldn't have two the same and same goes for coaches

Doesn't surprise me he has let us down before.

FFS I thought this was a continuation of yesterdays:
"Job Blows.........." thread.

We’ve fwcked this up for ourselves with our perpetual unrealistic demands.
Shouldn’t have got rid of a reasonable manager until we had someone better.
Neither O’Neil nor Smith should I ever have been in the running. One has no pedigree and the other has been out of the game for far too long and at his age with all due respect will not have the energy.
Shambles as ever.
