Against Girona at the moment if anyone cares?
They’re 7th and Girona 8th going into the this.
Girona have just had a penalty saved; on top of the saves the Sevilla ‘keeper has already made.
This is the team they played in the second leg of the cup semi-final. They were winning just 1-0 so I’d imagine it was a strong team.
1 Sergio Rico
16 Jesus Navas
25 Gabriel Mercado
5 Clement Lenglet
18 Sergio Escudero (c)
15 Steven N'Zonzi
10 Éver Banega
17 Pablo Sarabia
22 Franco Vázquez
11 Joaquín Correa
20 Luis Muriel
Today they’re playing the same team minus Banega. He isn’t on the bench even; so could be completely rested or banned or injured. Either way they’ve only rested one player and they played that game last Wednesday.
They’re sht and have a small squad
We should do these, no bother, in a couple of weeks
(Yes I did think we were playing them this week when I started writing)

I would always be wary of Sevilla especially at the Sanchez-Pizjuan even though they've not been on a good run of form in months.
Our record against Spanish teams in European competition isn't exactly great either.

I'm a bit more confident this season than last season about this kind of game. This season we have, by and large, beaten the team we should be beating.
I think we'll get a draw in the first leg and a win by a couple of goals in the second leg. It won't be easy though and I think the tie will be in the balance for most of the 180 minutes.*
*I'd love to be wrong though and see United bulldoze their way through Roma-style!

It's an absolute joke that we are being forced to play them in the CL. Completely disrespectful to us as the club we are to force us to play such garbage opposition. Just stick our name in the QF draw and dint bother playing this garbage

Top logic.... funnily enough you also noted how they won in the cup semi final, so in the Spanish cup final.
That 'small' squad also enjoyed a nice break recently. Signed a few players in Jan too.
I don't see how anyone can look at a knockout tie against a team that's won the Europa a few times recently as easy.

Yeah they played the mighty Leganes in the semi.
It's a Man United thing mate. We're massive. And arrogant.
Bit like Rangers used to be, relatively speaking.

We’ll beat them if we turn up.
Watched them twice against Liverpool and they were poor both times

Shin takes a lot of mind altering drugs, so when he says he's watching Seville he's likely watching a switched off microwave.

Easy win for United. 0-2 away, 5-0 in United.
