Watching Tottenham unearthing talents after talents while buying wisely all over Europe and staying ahead of us must be really shocking if you are genuine gooner.
From Gareth Bale to Modric to Kane, Alli to Erickson and Dembele, Sanchez, Vertogen, Rose, Son etc it has been painful to watch the modern brand of football being entertained by them while we were recycling every useless players under the sun.
In that period, we also created the worst Arsenal squad in years of Walcott and co. We refused to remove Wenger because we are scared of change while other clubs are better of by gambling on change.
As a diehard gooner I will be shocked if Wenger is in charge next summer after the worst season but the last one. Some would say he kept on winning FA Cups but you can counter by stating how far behind we have continued to operate in the dizzying heights of sixth and fifth and massive 20 points average behind eventual PL winners.

I wouldn't say we unearthed Vertonghen, Son, Eriksen or Dembele, they were already established players in their leagues/clubs. We just bought them at good prices. Modric was one of those players who you were surprised nobody else was after him. Bale, Kane, Ali and Rose, plus Walker, have all been excellent discoveries. Sanchez too but by the same token he is also our record signing even though only 21.

There was a time that a lot of Spurs supporters were turning against Levy and were calling for him out.
It did seem like Levy was not competing or taking the club to the next level some years back but massive Kudos for where they are now. Was some of it luck, maybe, they, Spurs went from Manager to Manager and then they got it right. I can only think Mauricio Pochettino is the main reason for their current success.

CL seems better for English teams and competition in general without Arsenal. Just realised what an embarrassment we actually have been since 2011. Liverpool and Spurs have really showed how to do it.

Can faults Spurs' approach this CL season. They were convincing in the group stages in a difficult group and had a very convincing game against Juve.
Spurs a bit lucky that they meet these team not at their peak but take nothing away from their performances.

Not at their peak? Juventus are on a 11 match winning run mate and Madrid have just despatched one of the best sides in Europe PSG 3-1. You can't use that excuse mate. We beat and outplayed these Top European sides on merit, not because the teams were weak

You cant judge on domestic games. I was refering to the performances in the CL.
But as I said....dont want to take anything away from Spurs whole CL performances. Liverpool in comparision had it far too easy.

Levy is a smart cookie, no doubt about that, very shrewd businessman. We've generally scouted and traded well in terms of players - half of the Bale money and Sissoko excepted. Our bigger issue has been finding a manager to take us forward. Recruiting Poch has been the best thing Levy has done for the club, especially given the timing of our move to the ground.
Regarding Arsenal, they will always be a big club, when Wenger goes they will still be wealth and attractive to new managers and players.
