We know its our weakest area but i think we may now have found a proper defence.
Two signings for me have made a huge difference, those of VVD (maybe obviously) and Robertson. Together they close out the opposition and actually do what defenders are supposed to so...defend!
I have yet to see Robertson have a poor game for us, sometimes he doesnt play as well as others but crucially, he "always" has good positional sense, in other words he defends really well. As for VVD....hes just world class and that is why he was £75M, hes a Rolls Royce of a player...so smooth he should be called bowling ball!
The two above have for me made a huge huge difference, then you add in Karius who looks like a proper gk, and what a change that is; you know he actually saves shots on our goal
Lovren looks like a different player to me (although early days) and seems to like partnering VVD, and at RB TAA looks to be getting better and better.
We may have found a very good defence you know, and we also have Gomez and Clyne to come back in if needed.....two clean sheets on the trot, could that be proof as well??

Robertson was an absolute snip for you guys. We spent 30m on a left back and he ain’t nearly as good.

The way we play and set up it’s going to be difficult to get many clean sheets. Factor in we have poor goalkeepers, one improving granted, and we actually try to win games and entertain our fans.
We are still trying to find that balance but slowly Klopp is learning how to see out games and be solid.
