Bellerin

Needs some competition for his place to push him to improve, because lets be honest he's pretty sh*t going forward and renders our right side impotent in attack especially when you compare him to monreal who offers a threat from the left.

Other teams now know they have one less threat to worry about because we have none on the right, all bellerin ever does is pass the ball back to whoever gave it to him in the first place, instead of trying to beat his man. then again I'm not even sure he's good enough to do so consistently.

Ox was actually better then him playing wing back. He was the only competition he had.

Wenger doesn't really invest in right backs. He places more emphasis on left backs

I wouldn't say either point if true

Ox did well at RB, particularly in a back 5 as more of a wing back but Belllend is still the better RB

On which position Wenger prefers, with Wenger he's often not scouting a particular position and forcing a move for a player. Instead he has a long list of players and when one becomes "available" (ie at a price deemed cheap) he'll buy.

He had competition when Chamberlain was here and that didn’t improve him

What he needs is better coaching which is the case for every other player at the club. Only relatively young player who has shown any sign of improvement on last last year is Wilshere and that’s probably cos he spent it at Bournemouth
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Or maybe he's simply not good enough and doesn't have the technical qualities required to be a dangerous attacking fullback?

You say he needs better coaching yet Ox who isn't a fullback outperformed him at wing back last season with the same coaching?

Ox had a purple patch playing for us in the tail end of last season when everyone else was playing shiiiit. Analyze his entire time at Arsenal and he never progressed the way we expected him to. Bellerin was an exciting prospect when he came on to the scene. Physically he has developed but technically and defensively he has regressed if anything. This is the same guy Barca were trying to tap up last Summer as their long term replacement for Dani Alves so it’s quite clear he is extremely talented and can be a lot better than he is at the moment

None of our youngsters really improve when they come into the 1st team so unfair to single out Bellerin. Really hoping the new regime starts in the Summer before we get the chance to ruin AMN and Nelson

Except it isn't clear that he's extremely talented at all, infact the opposite is quite clear that he's useless going forward and kills our attacks on the right side. All the coaching in the world means nothing without the raw skills that makes a fullback good in the final third. Its nothing to do with coaching.

Think you have it in for Bellerin if you don’t think poor coaching has not contributed to his stagnation

Every single player at Arsenal has stagnated but nah it can’t be the coaching

He's not very good imo. Good thing he has pace.

But yes, a better coach will get more out of him.

So 'better coaching' can magically give him the ability to beat his man can it? Well Ox had no problem dribbling past players in the same position so maybe that was something to do with the coaching...or not?

That makes no sense...
