Off topic - found a phone

Afternoon gents

So I was walking back to the office at lunch and I found an iPhone outside a bank. Like the true gent that I am, instead of selling it online, I went into the bank to hand it in. As I was talking to a lady in the bank, a woman stormed in panicking saying she'd dropped her phone. I politely said 'is it this one? I just found it outside.' To which she said yes.

Most people at this point would thank me and get on with their day, this woman however looked at her phone and saw there was a crack in the screen (I assume from dropping it without a case). She then proceeded to demand money from me to repair the screen

The woman in the bank burst out laughing and I told her to feck off and be grateful I didn't sell it. Then after saying she'd see me in court she stormed out of the bank

Some people are great aren't they

Anyone else have any stories about morons like this?

Wow, the attitide and ingratitude of some people. That phone could've been in Cash Converters in 10 minutes of the wrong person instead of you found it. I would seriously have given her a piece of my mind, literally torn a strip off her in public, what a miserable cuuunt.

Not really got a story like that, but about 8 years ago I'd been to the races with my mates on the Saturday, abosoljtekt cleaned up, went to the gym on the Sunday and when I got home I couldn't find my wallet. It had over £800 cash in it from the races. "That's facking gone then" I thought. Called the gym, wallet had been found on the steps outside and handed in with every note intact. Similarly to yourself, when someone is honest like that as the person on the receiving end it restores your faith in humanity. The shame was the receptionist didn't get the details of the person that returned it, so I couldn't get in touch and thank him/her.

I remember reading a story about Sir Bobby Charlton finding a wallet stuffed full of money outside a gym. Seem to recall he handed that in as he didn't need any money due to the nice sideline he had nicking stationary from Old Trafford.

I was walking up to my mates with my son for a BBQ and he spotted a wallet on the side of the road. I didn't count the money in there, but there was a good few hundred quid and a load of betting slips. There was also some ID and a phone number with a name on, which turned out to be the owner's sister. The owner turned up at the BBQ an hour later to collect and tried to give me £20 reward. When I told him that my son had found it he gave him the £20. A nice touch for a 6 year old and a good life lesson.

Good to see plenty of honest folk around

He should've used it to settle up his slate at the bar and tip the complimentary chauffeur. Not that £800 would put a dent in that parasitic old barstards slate mind

Could only happen to you Viddy

I had one of those single mums who think the world owes her something because she keeps popping out kids but not keeping a man try and tell me “you need to move because you’re in my way” in the bus a few months ago.

Told her she can ask nicely like most humans do and I’ll happily oblige. She refused to ask so I stood where I was. She then starts mouthing off in front of her kids (about 3 or 4 of them, all 9 or younger I reckon) that I’m a diiickhead, an idiot etc so I just told her to stop embarrassing herself in front of her kids, which provoked her even more to the point she starts shouting “I ain’t scared of you, who you trying to intimidate”

Still wasn’t moving as I told her it’s not her bus and she didn’t ask nicely, she then says “well then stand wherever the fack you want then”.... erm that’s exactly what I did in the first place before she started flapping her gums

Just shut her down in front of everyone within earshot and then some of them joined in and started telling her to shut up. Got off at my stop a few stops later and she’s still mouthing off while I’m just grinning and next thing I know some other woman has squared up to her
