Start of the game - given the team selection 100% Pep wants the Quad here
90mins later. Cya.
The squad is young and built for the future, perhaps it was over egging it to think a quadruple was possible this season, but to be in only three competitions on Wednesday morning was absolutely under no circumstances part of the script. Arsenal I’m sure will perk up following this result as well.
Can’t even blame it on the red we looked just as likely to score (or not score) in the second half as we did the first, and it all came unstuck with an absolute brain fart from Kyle Walker. It was the selection of an untested and relatively inexperienced Stones and Laporte in the middle which initially gave me the heebie jeebies, and with Danilo far from impressing in the opening 45 I never thought it would be walker to drop a steaming 5hit in our own half under minimal pressure
I’m off tomorrow, it’s no problem I can get hammered now just like with city of old. As for you blues up early for work, find some solice in the fact that for all the cries of us becoming “everything we ever hated" or “soulless", our City DNA still runs deep. Maybe too deep..
Cup final to look forward to in a matter of days, but tonight and until then, Wigan can celebrate fecking us up the jacksie yet again
P.s can hear my next door neighbour, a big blue, frantically hoovering next door, whatever takes your mind off it I guess! Mines a scotch

Nah that’s Mourinho, already odds on that’s where he’s going.
Pep will go to Italy I reckon.

Pep in Italy with Juve would be hilarious. They'd never lose a game.

You might be right, Melts. The destination may be different but the pre-arrival method will be the same

I can't say I'm displeased City lost but they are going to win the league so that's some consolation!
City losing though does make it easier for United in the Cup and that can only be a good thing as, the way things are this season, City would beat United more often than not.
This could be the result though that galvanises City for the CL as they'll be all out for that now and will perhaps be a little bit wiser as well for it.

Yes the sending off was harsh and no idea what the yellow card/red card thing was all about, but Delph was stupid to give the ref that decision. He is a professional footballer, the ball was in a nothing part of the pitch and half time was coming.
It was just a night that we weren't going to score had we been playing now. More worrying is how few players looked sharp, Gundogan looked good for 15 minutes then faded, Merlin lacked his incisiveness, probably getting match sharp though, Bernardo looked great until the final ball, Sane didn't take his man on enough, possibly nervous of another challenge like the one on Aguero in the opening minutes (no red for that though), Aguero missed several opportunities, Fernandinho wasn't pinpoint with his passing and 2 CB's who have never played together so I suppose excusable. Need to be sharper for the rest of the season.

This.
Delph's 'tackle' totally unnecessary there and then.

Yep that’s fair. The way the decision was made only adds weight to the referee post match interviews argument though. Delph will be a big loss Sunday.
As for Sergio, hopefully he escaped punishment or were double fecked. Apparently he is claiming he “believed he was spat at”, his solicitor deserves a bonus for that one!
