Dembele The Genius.

Am not really sure of any other midfielder in the world who does what Dembele does in his position. He is simple the best.
Only those who watch him week in week out can realistically make a sensible comment.
Opposition fans doubting his credentials would struggle to name any one better. Even Kante who many rate as one of the best said Dembele is the toughest midfielder he had faced.
And no, he cant be replaced.

Hi Nick, remember earlier in the season when we were struggling against the lesser teams at home, Dembele wasnt playing in these games and i was just thinking if he was playing things would be so much different. Going to be hard to replace him. Him and Eriksen are our two most important players imo

In a weird way Dembele kinda epitomises Spurs.

We absolutely love him.

People are starting to take notice of him.

People will try to bash him with stats (trophies).

And are generally bemused that we can enjoy seeing him so much when there isn't much of a result at the end of it (goals & assists / trophies).

Don't think anybody is bemused at all, and don't know anyone who is trying to bash him, dembele is quite evidently a good player.

But the original article was about how he would be replaced, which is by no means impossible considering a few different factors.

I thought Bentaleb had the potential to replace him at Spurs.

I agree. Closest player I had seen with both technical and physical attributes and still quite young. Was sad to see him leave.

I don’t think finding a player who is immune to injuries is going to be particularly easy. There’s no obvious replacement for Dembele out there, he’s an absolute machine of a footballer. He just needs to be managed properly, and I’m glad Poch seems like he knows what he’s doing with him.
