The New Stadium, and the sliding

pitch. I always assumed that the Sliding Pitch would be the NFL pitch, but I have just seen a video of how it all works, and it seems like the main Spurs pitch will be the Sliding Pitch, and when retracted will reveal the NFL pitch which will be the static one. Very interesting.

The architects and engineers who design and make these things work are right clever bastuaaards. Let`s hope the escalators don`t pack up on opening day.

Not that I'm even remotely concerned with NFL pitches, I just want the dollar it brings. Never been a fan of American Football but I understand it's growing influence over here. Can't believe they've now highjacked Sky Sports Main Event channel. It's just exploded in the last 5 years but I don't think it's got anything to do with the sport. It's got more to do with the United States growing influence over the UK in every way. Our lifestyles have aligned so much. When I was a kid there was no such thing as Halloween and we used to go guying (otherwise known as penny for the guy for firework night). I'm only 37. What the hell happened? Damn yanks!!!

I hate the way this country is slowly being Americanised. We have our country back is the biggest load of bollloxx ever.

I know. next thing you know you'll see NFL coming to your shores and being hosted at football stadiums to help gain a foothold in the market.

I want to make it clear that my comment was only evert intended as a sleight on American Sports and their culture aligning ever more with ours. I don't subscribe to the whole "we want our country back" way of thinking at all and I'd rather distance myself from it. I voted remain, believe we are stronger for multiculturalism and I can't help but feel that whilst some use phrases like "we want our country back" as a statement to push for some level of national pride, others use it as a veil to hide their racism. Either way, I'd rather not associate with it. I sometimes wonder what it even means. Anyone care to enlighten me?

I was reflecting on the meaning of "we want our country back " the other night while enjoying a nice curry down the Indian with the misses. She was looking lovely in a new Gucci dress. I was a bit annoyed at the time cos some idiotic white van man had scratched my BMW, lucky for me I know this Polish chap who'll fix it up nice, for cash the evening got no better when I spilt my Argentinian Malbec all over my fave Ralph Lauren shirt, all over my Levi's and Italian leather shoes and over my new Samsung S8. Luckily it's splash proof.

Anyway the waiter came over, took our order and forgot the nann breads. 'That's it !!' I thought. Bloody useless foreigners. I want our country back.

Amazon, Facebook, google are all looking at entering into the football coverage gravy train, and are American so it suits for the nfl too. I wouldn’t be surprised if one of those bought the naming rights. Could also be Nike, but the Disney rumour scares me!

HSBC seems to fit the most. One off our directors is high up with HSBC, we also have our bridging loans with them.

I dont see you issue with the World Series. No different from The Emirates FA Cup, The Ryder Cup, Carabao Cup nd the currenly Randox Health Grand National. Have you never heard of sports sponsorship ?

Whatever the name is, I shall still be calling it White Hart Lane, as I expect 99.9 per cent of supporters will.
