You have two people with no pace at all and who won't make any challenges.

Unfortunately I would still play Matic so it will be him and Pogba with Lingard.

Not that it will be any better.

We need some control IMO. Chelsea aren't blessed with that much pace themselves in the centre. Lingard, pogba and matic prove time and time again they can't play together. Newcastle, Spurs, etc

Given we've got a nice break after this fixture, I want to see us go after them, and at pace.

As has been pointed out above, Jose adopted that tactic last season for a reason, and it worked brilliantly. For me, it was one of our two or three best performances of the season.

As much as I've been pleased with how McTominay has settled for a kid who played so little U23 football before stepping up (something people seem to be ignoring), I'd like to see a midfield of Carrick (although it'll be Matic), Pogba and Lingard.

Draw or narrow home win.

Can’t see Chelsea winning as they aren’t playing well enough and you very rarely lose at home.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see you win 1-0 with a Lukaku goal in a drab game.

We played very well against Barca and should have won the game.
If we do go down 1-0 please not to a goal by that lunk!

They had no midfield control what so ever.

Did you watch mctominay, matic and pogba the other night no midfield control whatsoever
Did you watch pogba matic and lingard against Arsenal, Newcastle, Spurs, Southampton, etc no midfield control whatsoever

What do we have left?

Bigger game for us. If we lose we most likely drop out of the top 4 and have Manchester City away next.

VC is spot on about the lack of pace in midfield and how they just get overrun, forcing us on the defensive

Nah if you lose you aren't out of it. Probably means you won't catch us but you could catch one of the other two.
