Amongst all the hysteria about such an average, injury-prone player it's easy to forget he is now 26 years old.

What hysteria?

What hysteria?

Outrage earlier in the season that he wasn't getting a game
The major talking point in Arsenal's bi-weekly team selection
Constant post-analysis of his performances
Unrelenting discussion about whether he should be in the England World Cup squad

I'm guessing you disagree?

Your right,I disagree. Minor debates and people's opinions is not hysteria imo. it's not jack's fault England have no technically gifted mids, that's why his name is always in the England mix.

I just don't understand Roy Keane sometimes. He's not been relevant for over 15 years. A good player doesn't necessarily see talent where we can't. I wouldn't mind betting that he's the sort of guy that would have described Ronaldo as a 'show pony" in his early United years. Jack Wilshere is a huge talent and it pains me to say that as a Spurs fan. My ex-girlfriend was an Arsenal fan and we went to the Emirates back in the day when he was 16. He was immense. Two or three years later, he had Xavi and Iniesta on a plate. Were it not for his injuries, he would have gone right to the top. Even then, he's still the most talented midfielder we've got. If I see Livermore or Henderson ahead of him in the England squad this summer, forget it. He's a total bell but he is / was a very talented footballer.

All those players still have more silverware than those players bar Bale, who had to leave you lot to win stuff, so who are the real mugs here

Pushing it a bit mate to say Wilshire had Xavi and Iniesta on a plate, he played well for about 20 minutes in that match, and that was in 2011. Bit like saying Walcott is the best Inernational ever, because he once scored a hat-trick. Neither have done very little in the eight years since.

Keane as usual though talks mostly rubbish, so would not take a lot of notice of his assessment of players and clubs.
