Finally a Winter Break!

Common sense prevails! We will have a winter break. A much needed winter break.

The EPL schedule will also remain on the weekends! I know some of you will be against this but I think it is needed. Hopefully we can add a League 3 so that the EFL leagues have 20 teams and can have one too.

What about balancing your economy without EU/English Revenue
=========================================================
'balance your economy'....the UK is 1.5 trillion in debt, 82% of GDP.

It's 'balanced' in the same way as a Jenga tower is balanced...you can hardly lay that at the door of Scotland.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Aye and thats actually one of the best debt/GDP ratios in all of the Western world.

Yes, if you exclude Germany, Holland, Switzerland, Poland, Iceland, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, plus about 30 other countries (depending how you define
'Western world' )

Still not ‘balanced’ though, is it?

I get your point. Though saving the global banking system was always going to have a cost. I would say most of the EU is collective debt these days. And I wouldn't look at Japan.

Lets face it. Running up government debt is the vogue these days. Even the fiscal conservative Republicans are at it.

KLS

Good one

I refer you to my previous comment on massive TV money.

Although - come to think of it, we have reached the last 16 in 3 of the last 12 seasons - how many times have Liverpool done so in the same timescale?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We don’t get an automatic pass straight to the qualifying stages out of our league, there’s actually more than one team in this league.

How many English sides are in the last 16 at the minute?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You were owned, accept it an move on
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Except wht and move on?

He asked a question of how many times have we reached the last 16 of the competition in 12 seasons.

2006/7 - Final
2007/8 - Semi Final
2008/9 - Quarter Final

This season last 16 and a rather good chance of at least the quarters

Get back to getting beat by Fulham knobhead.

I’d think get to the finals of the competition is a bit better than the last 16.

Don’t know why he picked the last 12 years, could’ve gone 15 and we have had 2 more apps in the later stages winning the whole thing to.

KLS - I picked those years because we qualified for the UCL last 16 in 2006/7, 2007/8 and 2012/13. If you return to the start of the thread I made a few light hearted references to safe seating and winter breaks

To which you sarcastically posted "How to get to the final stages of the Champions League?"

Hence the focus on the final 16 in my response...which is what you asked me about. When you consider the relative money we have spent, we haven't done too badly. I also praised your club and team but you seem to have ignored that
