If any player assaults another player during a game they can now try to avoid punishment by accusing the player they have just assaulted of using racist language.
The ref will be obliged to report the racial incident whilst overlooking the actual assault, after all you can't punish the player if he's been subject to racial abuse can you?
I tried to put this on Arouna's Holgate thread here: http://www.ja606.co.uk/articles/viewArticle/386313
But the sensitive soul deleted it twice.
He is still of the opinion that Holgate's violent shove of Firmino which saw him go over the advertising hoardings into the crowd is just something that happens in a game.
If you did that to someone in the street you would be charged with assault so why did Holgate not even see a yellow card?
Interestingly, another side of this would also set a bad precedent as you could not punish a player for wrongly accusing another of racial abuse as it would possibly stop other players from reporting abuse.
Discuss.
Oh & I expect at least 1 person (Arouna) to 1* this article. .
Have the FA set a bad precedent?

I didn't say he was I meant the fans

Asking for evidence isn't really "defending racism", Galv....(unlike singing " "They tried to stop us and look what it did", but don't think we'd ever sing that, tbh)

Firmino could've hurt the normal people in the stands so he's lucky to get away so lightly and without the police involved.
