Were Wolves really that good, or were Leeds

Watching the match last night I had high hopes for the game, having watched Leeds on Sky a few times recently, I really haven't been impressed by their performances.

So I was kind of happy to see the Reading game called off as I think Neves will be more important in that game.

I thought Wolves played well and certainly deserved the win, but thought, Bonatini, Jota, Cavaliero, were all below par, we were good not great, our sharp edge seems to have dulled.

Spangles I'm not saying we were bad, Just that we are not at our best, I thought Leeds were poor and have been for a while, a lot worse than their position suggests.

We will give anyone a game, but there were no real standouts last night, Boly and Ndaye played ok, but there were no 9's or 10's in the game.

I think it was a mixture of both. Leeds were bad and we were quite good. We will play and have played better than that this season, but we came up against a team in disarray at the moment.

That's what I'm getting at Tam, Yes we were deserved winners, but we may not have turned the corner many may think we have.

We will give anyone a game, But maybe Leeds is not a great benchmark, if we do the same to Villa then I'll be impressed.

Agree Amiga, here’s my comment from the unbelievably cool match thread last night which kind of goes with exactly what your saying

Halfy delivers the points yet again, what a legend

Thought it was a good performance without being exceptional, biggest worry for me was the Jota seem to to be drifting out of the starting 11 ?!? But with Neves to come back in maybe that will be the catalyst to get him firing again. Not Afobe’s biggest fan but a great Finish from him tonight

All good in Halfy’s lair tonight

Radrizzani clarified his comments in a further tweet tonight, saying: “Firstly I would like to be clear that I have great respect for Nuno Santos and his team who have performed extremely well throughout the course of this season.

“I used last night (sic) fixture to raise long standing concerns that I have regarding agencies having direct influence within clubs which I believe could breach EFL rules.

“The aim is to open a transparent debate regarding the rules and motivate the institutions to be vigilant with anything that can spoil the fairness of the competition which I am encouraged to see the EFL taking seriously as per their statement earlier today.

“I believe it is vital for clubs in the Championship and beyond to operate on a level playing field."

Personally, I think it is impossible for us to be at our very best without Neves.

No he didn't clarify his comments. What he did was back peddle when someone whispered in his ear that Fosun were liable to sue his ass off.
These feckers shouting the odds should also be wary of Jorge Mendez who also has the clout and the finances to take legal action against people who are dragging his name and business through the mud.

Agreed Tamwolf, but even without him a more clinical Wolves side would have demolished that Leeds side, we did well, but our early form would have done better.

It was not lack of chances it was lack of edge, Jota, Cav and Bonatini all failed to play to their potential, not knocking the effort and even below par can still be a handful, but nobody here can claim yesterday they showed their best form.

Just as we can be NOT at our best with Neves it is quite possible to be at our best without him.

IMHO
