Klopp was putting all his eggs in one basket: the attacking trio. But if they can't get the job done there doesn't seem to be a plan B. Replacing the backs with attackers is a bit odd. I'd have van dijk move to a striker position and keep Robertson for his crosses.

I wouldn’t read too much into it, Utd are a very disciplined and street wise side. The first goal is always important in big games but that’s never more true than against a Mourinho side. It was true of Chelsea and it’s true of Utd.

Once a Mourinho team has the lead they manage games excellently and Utd did just that today.

But as I started, I wouldn’t read too much into it. We know Liverpool need to manage games better, didn’t need today to tell us that. We know that midfield needs a bit more creativity, we’ve not replaced Coutinho as yet but I’m sure we will.

We just played against a strong team who are excellent at home and they played well. That’s all.

I don’t blame the ref at all. I don’t think the Mane incident was a pen and the handball, well everyone has seen them given and I think it’s a decent shout but not a scandalous decision.

Can👍👏 Sir Rab has a bee in his bonnet about the ref yet seems to have missed Lovrens elbow? 🤔

The other clear and obvious penalty was when Salah was held.

Sorry, I assumed you’d be referring to Mane because that’s the one Klopp seems bothered about.

We differ on the handball then, I don’t think it was as clear cut and obviously deliberate as you do. The pull, again decent shout but not scandalous imo.

If you look at probabilities then perhaps you’d expect one pen from two decent shouts but incidents don’t work like that.

If he'd pulled his arm any harder it'd have come off....

To be honest there were 3 or 4 decent shouts but the 2 I mentioned were nailed on I think, but hey ho.

Just hope we get them in the CL if they're lucky enough to get through.

Why would you want United in the CL we haven't beaten them once under Mourinho, Not sure we've even scored.
