First of all, a well-deserved win for United. The biggest positive for us was the team's unrelenting efforts to get back at them and the ability to get a goal back in the process. We had the majority of possession, second half in the main was one-way traffic, but, again credit to them, they stifled our front three.
Could/should we have seen their game plan coming, should Jurgen have had a game plan ready? It didn't appear as if he did. I've never seen him so incensed about our team at times, three of the back four in particular.
Robertson aside, the defence looked at times disorganised, sometimes woefully so.
Cab for Lovren? At times I feel sorry for the guy, he appears at times to try too hard, and ends up failing, miserably. Like Trent is further coaching the issue? Is it the answer?
Dust settled. Yet again.

You got a goal back, but United scored all goals
--------
Yeah something to do with Bailly picking up the ball off De Gea and then slamming it past him unchallenged..
Rather than there being sustained pressure that forced him into a clearance that ended up in the net.
Spot on Jimmy with your analysis and yes Blobmeister if not at half time there would be some serious points made the Lovren not even competing for a header.

VVD was excellent throughout and had zero to do with both goals. Not sure how you can involve him.in either??

The only thing I remember VVD doing wrong was going for a wander, I think it was when Mata found himself unmarked and missed with the overhead kick.

Don't credit your team too much to it. It was part of the plan United sided to prove the point. You never ever threatened our goalkeeper nor closer to the woodwork. Your yet shocked front frustrated fab3 were 100% nullified.
All in all a very exciting / entertaining game that brought the rivalry back closer to its normal status

Lovren took too much responsibility than he can handle. There was no reason to mark Lukaku that deep. His reckless tackles on Felleini was proof that his ego was bruised because he was dominated by Lukaku.
Mourinho was spot on by targeting the right side (TAA and Lovren) and made it a point to avoid van Dijk. Another point is how Jose rendered Liverpool's counterpressing useless by using longballs. He knew Lukaku would win most duals.
So this is a concern since we already have a lot of players who are poor in the air. Naby Keita is no exception. We need a new cb and perhaps a tall midfield general to play aside Keita
