For all the talk

Of English dominance in Europe this season and potentially 5 teams in the last 8, there’s only one more team from the premier league in the last eight this season than there was last season.

Here’s hoping for a good run for both English clubs left in the competition.

It’s great to be in the last 8.

Klopp has put the club right back on the map at the highest level, two European campaigns and a final and now a quarter final, after a long time in the doldrums.

Looking forward to the draw. No pressure on us really, we can just enjoy it, reaching this stage was our realistic target at the start of the season.

Drawing Barca would be tasty and daunting. But would be great we kick em out with a vvd winner

Two of them were expected to go out, for what it’s worth we put up more of a fight than many would have initially suspected. Make no mistake, United had an absolute shocker.

Liverpool vs Real Madrid and City vs Roma works for me.

I seem to recall most of your bunch being pretty upbeat ahead of the Juve tie. Not saying I wouldn't have been, mind, as Juve had been struggling and you'd topped a group featuring the holders and an -on paper- strong German side.

It's a different business in the k.o. rounds though.

City and Liverpool got a bit lucky with the draw, but fully deserved to win both ties dominating their opponent.

Spurs were unlucky but lost to an experienced opponent.

Chelsea were just second best to a clinical opponent.

Man United were dreadful and got what they deserved.

To be fair, Spurs and Chelsea had tough draws. How United managed to feck up the home leg of their tie iscquite amazing tho.

Yea we were garbage and deserved to lose. Spurs were a tad unlucky. Chelsea just punished by a great team.

Liverpool and City had the two best draws so it's hard to judge. The draw on Friday is unlikely to be as kind.

Spurs were undone by their lack of experience and tactical nous. Poch's in-game decisions and overall poor cup record ought to raise some questions.
