CSKA Moscow are one of the few teams (of those Arsenal played more than once) Wenger hasn't won against. This stat was quite surprising. But then it bought back memories of the last time we played them in Europe, a CL group stage tie.
Remember the home game, where Henry missed so many sitters? But Fabregas's was possibly the worst of the lot, missing the open goal.
The away leg we got robbed. A perfectly legit goal from Henry ruled offside (or was it handball). Gilberto's too was ruled out.
Those were the good days of CL football. Time to put it right this time. Though what were the chances of Arsenal to be involved in this tie in midst of political stuff going on...

I think we had about 35 shots to 1 and drew 0-0, Rosicky missed a literal open goal from 3 yards. and same next match against west ham and lost 1-0

That match was stupid, never seen anything like it. It was rosickys miss that was the worst, the guy literally had an open goal and he passed it to the keeper I think.
Little did we know, it was just the start of the #banterera

I said before the draw this is the team I most wanted to avoid. We always seem to suffer from the long journey to Moscow and playing there in winter.
