Newcastle Utd 1 Huddersfield Town 0

Happy Easter, Darn, Lv, Utg, Waltz and last but not least Wetherby

Town travel to St James Park Newcastle on Saturday for another relegation dog fight. Obviously it's only town that are in this dog fight and no one else (according to the " pundits") Lawrenson has us to lose 2-0 and Mrs Merton 3-0.

Competition - Premier league.

Location - St James Park Newcastle.

Kick off - 15:00 bst

Ey up you five, hope you're all well and enjoying 2018 fly by like I am. Work is still very busy, hence my lack of interest or comments on our board recently, but fingers crossed I'll be back up to speed soon.

Town travel the 123 miles to Newcastle off the back of a proper sh¡t performance against an " up for it" Palace team. We were so so poor against Palace, so for me this trip to Newcastle doesn't bode well. The fat Spanish waiter's team have been bumbling along all season, very much like us. They have been poor, mediocre and good, they've beaten Manchester Utd at home, just like us, but they haven't conceded as many goals as we have, hence their - 10 goal difference and the 32 points they currently have.

Form :

Newcastle Utd, last five games.(league)

DWDWL = 8 points

Drew with Palace/Bournemouth, beat Man Utd/Southampton and lost to Liverpool at Anfield, conceding 5 goals and scoring 7.

This shows that they can score goals unlike us, and it's probably due to the fact of one January loan signing from Chelsea, that chap being Kennedy.

Form :

Huddersfield Town, last five games.(league)

WWLDL = 7 points

So as the above stats tell you, there's not much in it. Town beat Bournemouth/West Brom, lost against Spurs/Palace and drew against ten men Swansea, scoring 6 and conceding 6, so this game " on paper" looks fairly equal, but I have my concerns.

Which Huddersfield Town team will turn up?

We all know by now that consistency isn't one of our strong points. Even in the championship, performances weren't always the best, but we found a " way to win", winning 21 games out of 22 by the single goal. We still concede WAY too many goals and don't score enough, and for me this WILL BE our inevitable downfall.

Wagbo is like most manager we've had at town ( in my lifetime) fails to make changes quick enough, and in this league failing to set up properly or not changing personel or tactics during the game has cost us big time this season, along with lots and lots of "individual errors".

We all know the culprits, so I won't name them, but we have, I'd say a team based on 85% championship players and 15% Premier league players. This needs to be looked at, IF we survive this season.

Can the town team that battered Bournemouth turn up please, or will it be the town team that lost hopelessly to Palace last time out? God knows, and coming into this game off the international break will either be the making or breaking of this result/performance.

Team news:

Newcastle Utd, Jonjo Shelvey has been injured, but he's likely to make a return (typical), Islam Slimshady is still ruled out since his loan move from Leicester in January (thigh issue), and last but no means least on this Holy weekend, Jesus Gamez( ankles, hands, feet, head) is ruled out, but he would have returned if this fixture was due to be played on Sunday

Huddersfield Town :

Town have had some injuries over this daft international break, with the likes of Billing and more importantly (for some) Mooy might not be available. Long term absentees are b¡gd¡ck Danny Williams, Scanz, Hefele and some others I cba researching.

So over to you lady and gents, will be given out randomly as its Easter, and if you're travelling up to Newcastle, safe journey and please bring back at least a point.

My miserable prediction, 3-1 defeat

You watch.

City already Champs, But knocked out of the ECL by the Scousers. Holidays booked. Already full of pop...Guardi' lets 'em rest early & sends out his 2nd's..
& we go out & beat 'em

Same with Arsenal !
Wenger & Players just want the 'nuisance' game v little Huddersfield out of the way.
Wenger on thin ice, Has to put the 2nd's out because the 'ego's reckon they've done enough & don't want to play for him.
Another 3 pts for TOWN

3pts v Watford as already mentioned.... = 9

Between us Hydy.
I think you & I have had too much chocolate,

So Waltz new girl friend goes to the Doctors !

'Doc, What are these green patches on the insides of my thighs ? I've tried everything, They won't wash off, I've scrubbed. scrapped. used lotions & creams. They just won't go away'

The Doc tells her he has no idea, never seen this before, & they'll have to wait for the 'test' results.

A few days later. The Phone rings. It's the Doctor.
Her mind is quickly eased. The Doctor tells her she is perfectly fit & healthy & there's nothing wrong.
But...............

The Doc asks,
"Does Your Boyfriend ride a Harley" ?
Why Yes, How did you know that, & what has that got to do with anything" !

The Doctor replied.....
'Tell him his ear rings are NOT real Gold'

Now.
Here's the thing.

It's not over is it.
It could be just as Dominant City's way in the return leg.
Although not having that crucial away goal makes it harder.

Credit to the Reds on the night though...
City, Like TOWN !!! NO SHOTS 'ON'

(I don't think Saville are out of it yet either re- the return leg, They played well.)
