Yes. They are 3-0 up at Everton, so that’s over. And that’s what they needed to bring about the situation you name. They beat us at the Etihad, they win the title. Grim.

Just add it to the grim of that shambles against Seville

City will deserve the title this season. No shame in losing the title to such a great side. But things change - we’ve made up 36 points on Chelsea (finished 24 points behind them last season and are 12 points ahead of them now)

Certainly not the worst times at United. Far from it

My point being that just because one side is dominant one season doesn’t mean they will be next season

True. United in 05-06 didn’t look like they were one season from being champions, and Chelsea were quality that year. But I just feel we’ve got too many misfits at the moment, whether their fault or the manager’s, to be genuine contenders next year. City look likely to improve, so do Liverpool and maybe Spurs.

Our 05-06 side had a lot of potential and after Chelsea dropped off late in the season didn't look much worse points wise.

05-06 side top 2 scored same goals, Chelsea conceded 12 less and won 4 more games vs what we drew.

We played 4-4-2 with Giggs and O’Shea in the middle.
