The team is building nicely, we knew with Mignolet, Moreno and Lovren simply had too many mistakes in them; klopp obviously knew as well and pretty quickly raided the transfer market and brought in VVD Karius and Robertson. Through the ranks came TAA as an added bonus.
Lovren still has a mistake in him but it can be covered more easily when the rest of the back line has very few errors. Karius to me looks like the GK we all hoped his was, voted one of the bundesliga best when we bought him and looks like hes got the full backing of Klopp and he is performing as one of the prems best at present.
Robertson and TAA have been exceptional on the whole, the pair cost less than £10M or 5 Kyle Walkers , they are getting better and better, both are young too.
VVD just glides through games, effortless and it seems as he finds it all so easy, definitely added a calm compuse to the back line. A terrific signing and showing up to be what we thought he would be.
Defensively to me anyway, we are close to having a top unit, in mf Keita is coming and you would think another will join too. Attack we may have a another as well.
As I said if we keep building then there may well be a chance of trophies. 2010 to 2020 so far has been our worst in decades for trophies, I fully lay the blame on H&G and we are now seemingly coming out f that debacle, it has taken a long long time.
Onwards and upwards, massive game at the weekend and half our team is injured, then its City away with who ever is left standing....phew, tough at the top

I said a while back if klopp doesn't bin moreno lovren and Mignolet they will get him the sack. Thankfully klopp has jettisoned 2 if the 3 and I suspect lovren is on borrowed time.

Most surprised by Ox, he's growing as the season goes on and looks a different player to the guy we seen at Arsenal.

In Robertson you have the bargain of the season, probably the best full back in the league this season. TAA has a good game but isn’t in Robertson’s league. Vvd waa always going to be a good signing. Seeing you get bargains like Robertson annoys me about our scouting team who’d rather spend 3 times as much on overrated crap, and not take a punt on players like that.

I know it was the Champions League so not technically a league, but certainly in the Premier League they often play together in the same team, in the league, so are in the same league whilst doing that. Probably wouldn't include Wij in there though, he's not a flop or a bad signing, but not been great considering even with injuries in CM last night he wasn't trusted to start ahead of Milner or Ox.

Hicks and Gillett left in 2010, you can't blame the whole decade on them.
You aren't winning major trophies for the same reason we aren't, we have board of directors that refuse to release the capital unless they make the money back in a sale.
